I have a question: is there any way to apply motion blur if making a video straight from blender? I can make it look like this and it will calculate every frame a few times and apply the blur to each of them and I can later knit them together. But say I have frames without mb, import them into the blender video editor, and export a movie. Won't work. Even if I export it as images again, I still won't get mb. Dunno if you understood anything.
@Mostwantedo there is a motion blur setting setting in the Render panel. Just check Sampled Motion Blur before you export your PNGs or whatever ur using for your animation.
@CoryBays I know i know but I'm talking about movies not made in blender. I know theres plenty of editing programs in which you can add motion blur. I was just wondering if it's possible to motion blur ready pics, not made in blender?
check "Sampled Motion Blur" in the Render Settings
if its a fast movement 2 "Motion Samples" are enough (if its slow, use more)
but this is double render time - so its faster to render once and then put it in a video editing software, dublicate the video and make a delay of one frame and then fade the two videos
This is awesome. I don't know if you have ever played zelda twilight princess, but this looks like the effect when you are warping and things. Good job :D I don't know if your able to but can you do a tutorial on this? If you need a program to use for screen recording I can give some suggestions
@Darklink224 If you have a windows (I don't so I don't know for sure) everyone I know uses cam studio I think is what its called. If you have a mac I use Ishowu Its really really good but it costs money, I think theres a free program called camtwist for mac but it doesn't work very well. Although I found on youtube if you type in ishowu serial number there are serial numbers everywhere... Sadly I had already boughten it :( oh well. Hope those help and can't wait to see a tut!
Oh yeah there was, the motion blur made it look a little more fuzzy... of coarse you could have labeled it a vs b and ask which had motion blur, thus eliminating the potential bias observation... just a thought :) thanks for posting.
Thanks. I will do this for the next motion blur test (that will include vector blur so there will be a total of 4 videos playing at once.) That should really eliminate bias observation =).
Sounds interesting, I've been thinking about learning how to use blender, but I'm too busy learning other things right now DX... I look forward to the next video :D
very nice, btw how did u make that mokey fall appart?

@Mostwantedo You should be able to do it in the compositor, or try using a third party software like after effects.

I didn't notice a difference.
yeesnaw 6 months ago
@yeesnaw Yeah, it's hard to notice because it's a relatively low resolution, and using 2D surfaces doesn't really help.

It was indeed smoother with motionblur

?? I dont understand the question. Of course you'd see a difference - it's motion blur.

@Dooblestudios Yeah! My Blender 3d Particle Test was an attempt of that and this was just playing around with it.
I'd love to do a tutorial! Can you recommend a program?

How lond it has take to renderng it?
moop1789 2 years ago
I took about <5 minutes without motion blur and about <10~15 with motion.
Darklink224 2 years ago
@Darklink224 And this are not so many partivles.^^ With more, it will take hours. Or?
moop1789 2 years ago
This was about 7.8k particiles. The baking of the particiles might take longer, but rendering should take about the same amount of time.
I can upload the source file upon request

very good :)
a bit simple in my opinion but still good for the purpose ;)
