I find that even just using wax from the orthodontist prevents cankers. I don't have braces yet, because my orthodontist told me I shouldn't need them if I got an appliance, which is like a retainer, but it actually moves your teeth and widens your jaw. The wax saved my mouth from being all cut up, especially since I sleep on my face. I have a feeling I'm going to be using wax alot!

I have had my braces fitted today. They're pretty sore but I guess that's good because that means they're moving already!

I'mabout to get a couple teeth pulled, the same ones you got out actually. Then I'm getting ceramic braces on the top... I was wondering if the holes have closed up pretty quickly, and if anyone really notice your ceramic braces because I'm 19 and feel wierd about getting them on. As far as I can see, they're hardly visible!

the gaps have yet to close. The teeth that were pulled were pretty large. The Ortho says I have about 18 more weeks. I go back Aug 6

I just paid a flat rate of $5,100, that includes visits, retainers and one year follow up there after. :)

Amanda, I am on my friend's computer but I felt compelled to leave you a message. I personally have benefited from your videos. I debated for years as to whether I should get braces and years passed by before I finally did it this year. I am going to remove 4 teeth in November and, just like you, I have the clear braces with the snap in arch wire. Watching your videos and reading stories on archwired helped me get through the first days and I am grateful. Thank you!!!

hi, i too have braces and a month ago got the chainsaw thing in the same area you got your springs. I'm noticing gaps as well...things are working! Keep them coming, it's great to see someone else's progress :)

I went and got my braces tightened on Monday and they put whole new while in which left my mouth quite sore. It's feeling better now though. I go like every 4 to 6 weeks to get mine tightened, so your lucky you go every 10 lol. But I can definitely see improvement in your teeth. Your cat is cute by the way :D

I'm glad everything is going well :] I went to my ortho today, and got a new wire, i guess it's stronger because this is the first time in three adjustments that i'm feeling pain. and in about 7 weeks i'll get spacers and braces in the bottom teeth.

and i love your cat! :]
