The information is misleading. First, lower valuations mean higher rates. The actual tax you pay depends on the change in your value compared to others. Here is where the flaw in the system becomes clear. Look at righttax.org to see how this can be corrected.

It's saying you never own it! Most people never own their land, house or car! Yet they think they're living in a free country?!

It is pretty sad that some socialist nations like Malta and Italy don't even have property tax on their first owner occupied dwelling. It just goes to show you how much "freedom" is really valued in America today.

For one they raise the taxes knowing that owners that are working people and really do not have time or had the knowledge of these organization policies. It bullshit people and the worse is yet to come. All of this is coming down from Government to State and then local offices. It's time for a revolution get these assholes out of office NOW, not tomorrow

Why is there a tax on actual property, i understand cars they tear the roads up and the tax on a car might augment that but why on land they don't help maintain it, or for that matter cut a persons lawn you pay for gas electrical an all why it seems pointless

It is pointless (for us peasants). It is just another way for the government to get into our pockets. More taxation without representation. My property taxes went down, by notice of my county, however we had to pay a couple of hundred dollars for this to go down!!!  How is that for shady? Oh, and we had to "remit" that "fee" before a certain date, or they claimed that our tax rate would remain at the higher rate! Govt is drunk on power.

I think the biggest issue is taxation without explanation they don't say why taxes are stolen from our checks or why, have you ever really paid taxes if you don't pay them eventually they sieze your property or lock you up

Yes, I have owned properties b4 and now own a ranch in CA. I pay a lot of property tax! There would have to be literally millions of US tax payers going Fed Exempt to overwhelm the govt. I dont' see that happening (in Re to the govt taking taxes out of your pay check). Property tax? Yeah, the county govt eventually takes your property and auctions it off for those back taxes. We get hardly anything back for those $. Minimal road work, that's it. We have volunteer fire dept.

I am sorry to hear that i rent personally but the system is also abuse i installed insulation a HVAC in homes and habitat for humanity is B.S at least here in Virginia i been doing there homes for 5 years the people dont pay taxes on them and lower monthly payments but the people that are getting these home have mercedes and usually already have another home with hundred thousand $ income so i guess what that tells us be gotta play the game

If we "play the game" like the dishonest then we become them. Yeah, I know the temptation is there, when we are surrounded by corruption and we see so many getting away with sh*t, while we make good on our debts, etc, etc. Greed is taking our country down for the count, or I should say, the count has already begun! I hope I live long enough to see the "come uppance" that I dream of!!!!
