Seeing the name Sherry triggered a memory. There was another girl I went to Jr. High school with along with Patty Benson and Nilda Rice, I think was part of the Rick Shaw show dance troop. Her name was, (pardon spelling) Sharon Trobliger? Ring a bell?
@CountIronMaggot It was! I was born not far from where this was filmed, and I miss old Miami like a physical pain! One of these girls went to my junior high. I think it might have been Linda.
I can't believe the innocence of this choreography. Was the world really so simple back then???? Yes, it was!!!!! Great job girls! And a great recording.
@gablesblonde it seems so funny n innocent in the sixties...i guess this video is from 1966 cause of the song was released that year n the girls hairstyle...now everything is so different..for worst..but this video put me a smile in my face..
@gablesblonde So cute..bless you! I was just thinking I wonder how those girls are doing nowadays. I never saw this before - wish it was a better copy, as I have a 60s tribute band called Lemonade Pie and I want to show 60s tv and dance clips in the backround. be well.
Now I remember why I loved the mid-60's so darn much! Those young ladies are awesome and Linda Rogers is super fine. I wish there were more dance videos online of that group - they made a bunch to play on the Rick Shaw Show.
@dominique777 I was a kid in Hollywood, Florida during the mid-60's and never missed The Rick Shaw Show or Linda, Candy, and Sherry. Brings back many great memories.
this is just a video.. the "Innocence " of the " america " of the 50's and 60's didnt exist...
during this time.. severe problems in civil rights, race relations, raising crime, poor housing,
slums in cities that needed to be cleared out., drug and drinking problems .

Back then, no sluts on TV, no tattoos, no body piercing, no pubic or body shaving or acceptable public profanity.
People then and before were "doing it" but it was discreet.
Today, it's "let's upload a video of us "fu%#ing" on the Internet. Maybe I'll become a porn star.
Just wait a few years, when you mother, father, sister, brother or children will see you.
I'm sure you will explain that you were "young and didn't know what you were doing".
This is the FUTURE of America.
Pathetic.

I heartily approve of bikini-clad go-go bunnies 'round a swimming pool, but the choreographic skills of some of these babes is less than perfection.

If this were done today, it would take hours of setup, dancing and editing out the slightest imperfection.
I like seeing them mess up and have fun rather than being worried about every last frame.

I can't believe that after all these years I see this video. I am the third dancer from the left the one with the blonde hair and bangs.

I never realised there were lyrics to this song. I only ever heard the Ventures playing it. Roger Day's theme song on Radio Caroline.
