Will.I.Am isn't being arrogant or is thinking he's better. He just wants to utilize the amazing talent that the girl's have and make them famous around the world. That whole "2, 2 1?" thing comes from the fact that music groups, especially ones with numbers in their names, are not common in America. He has a lot of experience with the music market and knows that Korean artists have not completely broken through to the American mainstream market and so this is FOREIGN yet HIP, EXCITING, and COOL.

for me, in order to be globally competitive we should open ourselves to new things. that's why 2en1 got the heart of other countries too because they consider their style, looks, language etc...they have to adopt new trends and therefore we don't have to worries of having new producer etc. 2en1 is 2en1. Another thing is, for me, maybe 2en1 should evolve their music more in English or may be have a version in English so people outside Korea can stay n their flow. ^_^\m/ i love 2en1

@MilkPeaches I know,but still while listening to the snippets during 2NE1TV season 2 I didn't really felt it.The rap-parts they wrote for CL sounded lame to me >_<' they should've just let her write it herself.Also I really hope they don't just release all auto-tuned pop club songs,but actuallly raw hiphop and r&b genres songs as well.I will cry if it's gonna be kes$ha or gaga style...CL did say they were gonna record a ballad as well though~

Although their music may come out really generic I think you can always count on 2NE1 to make it not. I would be disappointed like yourself if the music came out as cliched club shit but if this breaks into the music industry, hopefully then they can bring out their own input and use Teddy again :D

@JustDreamingLife Skinship isn't common in Korea. The furthest they usually get is holding hands, and that's already far enough. Dating couples don't really show that they're dating other than couple stuff like rings, outfits, etc. However, in Korea, close friends hold hands as well. It can be two guys and they will hold hands out of their closeness. ((Which is why there's a lot of touching and hugging between Big Bang and the YG Family. They're close.))

@MilkPeaches I know,but still while listening to the snippets during 2NE1TV season 2 I didn't really felt it.The rap-parts they wrote for CL sounded lame to me >_<' they should've just let her write it herself.Also I really hope they don't just release all auto-tuned pop club songs,but actuallly raw hiphop and r&b genres songs as well.I will cry if it's gonna be kes$ha or gaga style...CL did say they were gonna record a ballad as well though~

@MilkPeaches Also that rap-part somebody wrote for CL for her I Am The Best japanese version is just like not flowing at all -_-' even though I'm sure Teddy nor CL wrote those lyrics the one who did should get fired. Since YG allowed that...I'm a bit scared for their US debut. STILL I do believe the girls will rock it no matter what~ but it would be nice for them to have some real YG-ish quality songs. Nolza!!!

@xbomtori I know, I would prefer if Teddy was their composer :( I think they would do equally well in the US with the music they're producing right now. Although their music may come out really generic I think you can always count on 2NE1 to make it not. I would be disappointed like yourself if the music came out as cliched club shit but if this breaks into the music industry, hopefully then they can bring out their own input and use Teddy again :D

@JustDreamingLife Skinship isn't common in Korea. The furthest they usually get is holding hands, and that's already far enough. Dating couples don't really show that they're dating other than couple stuff like rings, outfits, etc. However, in Korea, close friends hold hands as well. It can be two guys and they will hold hands out of their closeness. ((Which is why there's a lot of touching and hugging between Big Bang and the YG Family. They're close.))
