  • i think you sir "pianojohn113" diserve a sub

  • @SkateBoardFreak285 Thanks, i appreciate that. :-)

  • I am a beginner in keys..however i play bass guitar..this helped a lot.thanks man :)

  • @pianojohn113 great tutorial... i think you teach very well, but when i play this i drop down to a d octave when i play the F# chord...i think it sounds a little better, anyway keep up the great work!

  • @newman218 Yes, the D in the bass can work, and it sounds just fine like that. I like the tension that the E bass creates, but that's just my own preference.

  • if anyone wants tips when you are doing the fill ins after you play the chord once, only use the fingers that are doing the fil lins it helps you focus more on them

  • oooh okay thanks for this great song and there notes ^^ very cool

  • would it be possible to write sheet music for this and post it.

  • @BeBop2012 I don't generally write out sheet music, but if anyone wants to transcribe it and make it available, I'm fine with that.

  • you could do a tutorial on the trumpet solo of the song `" penny lane "would be great thanks, I greatly admire your videos are great, congratulations

  • @LUDOVIKO99 I originally had thought about doing that on this vide, but ran out of time. It's a little hard to play, but not impossible.

  • John, Thank you for making this tutorial. I, along with the other 11,000 people, appreciate all of the hard work you put into making these splendid videos.

    Thanks Again,

    Troy

  • John, We like your channel so much. Sub our channel, Jasmine is only 6 still and has had 45 1/2 hour lessons. She Plays Classical and some fun songs. We happened on your helpful channel trying Norwegian wood after learning Yesterday. Anyway we'll stop back from time to time to learn Beatles hits faster.

  • @999mrbill She did a great job, I saw the video. I'm very impressed. Let me know if she does any of the Beatles songs, I'd love to hear them!

  • Sweet John! I just started learning the piano and your rendition of Norwegian Wood is now my goal to play. Thanks man

  • @pianojohn113 It's really easy to learn. Just a couple of chords and the same pattern repeats throughout the song. It's really fun to play and it sounds great! Your tutorials mean so much to me as I've learned about 20 Beatles' songs. I just hope they'll stay here for good as I constantly need to revise some of the songs. I learn a new one, but loose a bit of the older ones. Anyway, I really appreciate your effort, you should be given a medal or something.

  • I've just learned how to play it and it took me 20 minutes altogether! Thank you very much John! Keep on making these wonderful tutorials!

  • Do you take requests? Because I think Across the Universe would be a splendid tutorial to make. Especially since there's no other tutorials for it. Such a shame really, it's such a beautiful song on piano. And plus, you make it easy to learn. You have excellent tutorials.

  • awesome

  • Thankyou, very easy to follow!

  • Thak you for this great and easy arrangement! Cheers from Russia :)

  • John, solely from you as my teacher I went from taking 3 weeks to learn hey jude to mastering norwegian wood in 3 hours. I believe I have said enough. You deserve the nobel prize.

Happy new year from the UK.

  • very good as always pianojohn113 have a nice christmas or do they say in the USA the fall

  • Thanks, paulallen34, you have a great Christmas too!

  • This sounds real good on piano. Repetitive or not - It sounds beautiful. - I didn't pick up by ear as the way you are made it sound. This lesson was very helpful. Those extra notes or chords make it sound 30 times better rather then playing an octave through out the verses.

  • Glad you liked it, dormanbenton.. I've tried it with just the octaves, but the chords do add a nice full quality to the sound.. All credit should go to John Lennon, though!

  • Love IT

  • awsooome =D these really help me, been trying to learn I am the Walrus now too :)

  • May I request a tutorial for Every Breath You Take - The Police? Thanks, and your tutorials are most exccellent
