It's just a force of habit, I've always done it.

Really, if you've ever changed trans oil, it's so thick that there's a decent film on the gears even when the cars been sitting.

I also do want to performance tune it!

You didn't balance the carbs; did you? Just fiddling ... The easiest way to balance these webers is the vacu-balance them.

By the way, I find the 4 cyl Alfa engines are one of the best sounding ever made.

actually it does sound like an airplane, but it probably can kick some serious ass.

besides it was working on a low battery and a misaligned carb.
