@MACGATELEY dont worry bill is fine. I met Derek Fowlds last year and i asked him about Bill. He said he and Bill keep in regualr contact and used to play golf alot togther. However just before christmas last year hes now confined to a wheel chair full time. But apart from that hes fine

Bill Maynard, i stoped watching heartbeat when Bill left, in my opinion bill was heartbeat.

Bill is a fantastic Actor... He's the guy who simply made every episode of Heartbeat comical & highly entertaining, alongside his faithful scruffy, loveable, rogue of a dog "Alfred".

It's a well known fact that heartbeat was never the same, & the ratings plummeted when he left the show.

In my opinion, he was undoubtably the top man.

I wonder if Bill still goes to Saltburn auction rooms where he was once a very regular sight?
