The main melody should be played at a high octave with everything else as accompaniment.

Again, very well played – but I'd say you should consider adding at least some kind of percussion if you play pieces like this in such a length. Even though you make really clever use of different sounds, it gets a little bit monotonous after some time since the melodic themes in this score, let's face it, are not SO musically interesting on their own. Certainly, you will find a way to produce some good percussive sounds from the viola's corpus? Or maybe something completely different.
