@trollfinger hmm, I don't know. I don't think they will. Particularly considering that you can not bypass the complex bureaucratic process even if you hold the most important position. Thus eventually a change in policy has to stem from the change of overall political thinking and system.

But I think if you can promise that their decision will be the final decision then I see no reason why they wouldn't want to.

where ever they have colonized as far back as the 16century they have caused political instability, however they have also in the same vein contributed to the building of those nations. So by the same token unlike the americans its not as bad as a divide & conquer attitude..

A man who has 30 years of experience reporting on the front line in the middle-east and not the comfort of his hotel room or those journalists who are being forcefed whatever rubbish the powerful in Washington decide to forcefeed them so that they can then regurjitate that rubbish in turn to the poulation (you included who are only to willing to crique that which has a different taste to the regurjitated rubbish which they are being fed).

I am reading Robert Fisk's book that he released in 2006, and I was able to understand the bigger picture of the middle east crisis. While a lot of it was quite depressing, from a humanitarian point of view, I was able to comprehend the scale of the situation. From a biblical point of view - I realise why the Creator is the only one who can clean up this terrible abuse of power. Roll on Armageddon.
