Both are great. Peter is the best songwriter of his generation. The Clash is legendary. The Libertines could also be considered legendary one day, but the Clash just...how can I find the words...the Clash had more WIEGHT to them, to their music and lyric content. The Libs material may gain this over time. You shouldn't compare these 2 great bands. They are on the same side. On the other side, there is Oasis, the Arctic Monkeys, etc etc...
