how do u get Coco out of the cage? because I got mine last year and I had him for a couple of months now. I can get him on my hand but he always bites like he is mateing or something. So does anyone have any advise?

biting is love-bite ... when it is to hard u can hit with ur fingertip ((not hard!!)) on his nose :)

Ok I will try that. But how do you get him out of the cage? The top of my cage will open. or should I take him out from the main opening?

just let the door open, when u have much time at this day ... they r nosily and will go out one day from alone ... But! when u want them back in ... never try to catch them or take them in ur hand, they hate this and they will lose the trust in u, - and always associate bad things with ur hand. its like in the nature; when they get catched by a huge bird, - its nearly over ... so they get shock for their life.

when u rly rly need to catch them, put a light towel over ur hand, so they dont c ur hand. but better dont do. never.

i did with my birds, coz i stupid opened the cage when i had no time ... and needed to leave home ... i catched them after loong chasing with my hand :S . now they r scared, - fear my hand.

it will take loong time & sorghum(?), until theyll forget this, ((when)) they will forget (i hope so) i regret

these birds r nosily and needs patience ... :)

ok I will make sure I do that. My bird is trying to talk right now or he's just singing to the Lone Ranger's horse gallop. I will have to try that so you let the door open and let him get out. but how do you get him back in that cage?

he will go alone (thats why i said; open when u got time on that day, - coz it can take long until he flys in again - and mb he will sleep outside)^^ ... at least when he is hungry. or u hold his cage in front of him

If you take the top of the cage off, your bird will find it easier to get in. Sometimes they "can't remember where the door is". They generally get hungry and go back in ;)

Um, no offense to anybody who gave you advice, but it's kind of bad advice and could be really inconvenient for you, especially if you need to get it back in the cage in a hurry.

You have to train your bird, and it's really not hard. there are a lot of good sites giving advice if you just do a search for it in google or something.

I just get them used to my hand, keep pressing your finger up to their tummy so they step up. Give him more time, it'll start working without bites.

oh. I am doing that, he steps on my hand when I just put it up there but he flys off my hand when I come towrds the cage door. what is up with that?

Yeah i know what you mean. To be honest, i got my bird used to that by holding her, like actually putting my hand around her so she couldn't fly away. Then they get used to it and realise there's nothing to be afraid of.
