I was depressed when I was a kid. I can't say it sucked because honestly it felt like nothing at all. Like literally nothing. I would wake up one morning and not see the point of getting up. The kids at my school were really cruel to anyone they thought inferior, i.e me because I went to a rural school. My brother saw what was going on, but not my parents. They thought I just didn't like going to school. My brother bought me a dog, and she got me out of depression. But yeah, it was still hard.
You wake up in the morning fearing the day and you go to sleep plotting revenge. I know now that I needed help, but it never occured to me once to talk to anyone but my dog about it. We all try and hammer into the generation of today to "talk to someone" but it's hard. You don't exactly have friends, because they're terrified of being attacked too, and most parents say something like "Oh, just ignore them." And you know they'll just beat you up worse if you go to a teacher.
God is closer than you think even though it might not feel that way keep holding on sounds like your going through a season of darkness which will pass keep praying dont' rely on your own strength but God's I went through 6 months of the darkness before it was lifted so be patient you don't want to miss the rainbow of hope after the storm.
Don't give up be patient through this season of darkness rely on God's strength He will help you endure when you have lost the strength My pain seemed unbearable until I completly surrendered to God the pain lifted gradually but God gave me the strength moment by moment I was overwhelmed by depression and anxiety and nothing else helped it was a battle.
@iirtak no matter how bad you feel right now, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. there are more out there who really do understand the crushing and terrifying emotional pain of depression, that really do want to hug you and help you, and God does not forget......hold onto even the least rays of hope til they become sun. sending christian love, really want to know you're still there, please respond.

I've never particularly liked it how people lable a song Christian. God is closer than you think even though it might not feel that way keep holding on sounds like your going through a season of darkness which will pass keep praying dont' rely on your own strength but God's I went through 6 months of the darkness before it was lifted so be patient you don't want to miss the rainbow of hope after the storm.

i love this song, it reminds me of myself, if that makes any sence, i havce depression and anxity, they both suck, one minuite i am takeing a test, and the next i am haveing an anxity attack and i get a huge burst of adrinalin and i am all freaky and get that 'oh my my my' worryied fase about nothing, then my depression leaves me drained tired and sad, it sstinks, but i know can stand though the rain, with help from my friends, thanks, this song helped me rember that in my darkest times.

I've never particularly liked it how people lable a song Christian. I know it is Christian, but it just feels that when people shove it in other's faces (which sometimes does happen) then it is excluding people who are not Christian, when it does apply to a lot of people who aren't of that religon.
