  • Primal Fucken Fear

  • i love this band, and his vocals rock, you all should check out my page....if you like metal and judas priest

  • Judas priest are Metal Gods, and Primal Fear are the Disciples which took everything from their teachers and improved it to make an even better Metal!!!

  • very good band, and the singer is great too

  • I saw this comment somewhere else for a Primal Fear video, and it applies here too..."HOLY FUCKING FUCK!!"

  • screw all of you that say " i can't believe he didn't get a job", if he got ti, there would never be primal fear...i like primal fear over judas any day

  • @lifemetall you have no fucking clue about music if you like thesew over JP!!..

  • @metalmozzo1 i'm not saying JP is bad, but primal fear is better

  • @lifemetall if it wasnt for jp..there would be no PF..give JP respect!

  • @metalmozzo1 i'm giving it respect by saying JP is good, but PF is better....never said anything bad about JP

  • Great cover...he sounds more similar to Ripper than Halford though

  • Ralph must have been the replace for Rob un Tim Owens Era, OWENS SUCKED!!

  • There is an interesting contrast between the 2 singers in Ripper and Ralf. Ralf has a cleaner, purer approach and Ripper is very aggressive and gritty. with where the band was going at the time Ripper makes more sense.

Even considering that I would love to see Ralf singing with Priest. But both singers are awesome. And this cover just makes me want to hear it more.

  • Check out our cover version in the video-answers, Hell Patrol performed by Jawbreakers 1 mpg. Jawbreakers is a Judas Priest tributeband from Sweden.

    Cheers evryone!!

  • one of the best Priest covers i must say

  • Ripper is Better so much!!:)

  • I love Ralf, and I love Ripper, I see why they chose ripper he has more ability to cover the crazy ranges that Rob did, and they probably liked his style a little more, but i wish some way they couldve both had a chance to be in the band cuz id love to see Ralf sing more Priest songs!

Fuckin' brutal, stay heavy guys! \m/

  • Perfectirijillo :)

  • Maybe the best cover I heard so far! Excellentia!!

  • ultra perfect

  • supreme metal !!!!

  • perfeito

  • Ralf has the most amazing voice.

  • Fucking rocking!!!!!!!

  • I think this singer is almost as gay as Halford...sweet shirt haha

  • great

  • It's kinda funny. In his prime, Halford possessed a killer scream, a killer mid-range, and a killer low register (whereas now he only has the respectable scream and a still killer lower register) Ripper has the killer lower register and the killer scream, but no real mid-range to speak of. Ralf possesses the killer scream, and killer mid-range, but he lacks the killer lower register. Other than that, he's superior to Ripper in my opinion, far more personality in the voice.

  • @tylerdude1982 actually ralf can hit some VERY low notes, he just usually chooses not to. Check out gamma ray song "no return"

  • @Jesse19912

I didn't say he couldn't hit the low notes, his lower register just isn't distinctive.

  • @Jesse19912 Yor`re right, he CAN do it, hès a great singer, indeed!

  • Awesome, the riff sounds so good when played a little faster

  • Damn! That was amazing. These guys are good.

  • NICE RALPH CHEEPERS should stand with the biggest

  • Ralf Scheepers was singer in a Priest Cover band. Called "Just Priest" he wanted also sing in just Priest. But Tim Owens was the choosen ;)

  • Allraaight!!! NICE DONE !!

  • maestro Scheepers!!

  • Amazing!

  • halfords legacy

  • PRIMAL FEAR THE NEW METAL GODS

  • The studio version on the "Songs of the Priest" CD was way better than this. This guy should have gotten the gig, not Tim Owens. Not that I'm trashing Tim, but this guy is closer to Rob's range. All the same, I'd rather have Rob at 70% than anyone else at 100%.

  • @rockheadrocks what u say has validity. BUT, he Ralph would have gotten the job, we wouldnt have Primal Fear, and we "probably" would not have Rob back on JP (bc Ralph would be doing such a great job u know).

So in the end it worked out perfectly

    ;)

  • pleasently surprised to discover this band. On par with priest.

Now, i'm a HUGE fan of priest, but we all know Halford's voice is going out. Embrace primal fear, and let Halford's legacy live on!

  • wow... Ralph's got such a voice!

  • LOL...bass player forgot what chord it was at 2:11...still a great cover!

  • rob halford is the number one great cover

  • Only band I've seen that's able to cover Priest.

  • YOur not wrong there lonstorm889!

Pretty cool suff if i may say so!

    Liked it alot

  • @IonStorm889

Blind Guardian does a great version of Beyond the Realms Of Death, and Gamma Ray does impressive versions of Victim Of Changes and Exciter (the latter with Ralf singing and the former with Kai Hansen)

  • @IonStorm889 u wanna try listening to my uploads...Imaybe the only person to be dam near halfords vocal range!..these guys and other bands who think they can do JP make me fucking piss myself..most are crap..I mean really crap!..I need to be in a fucking band!.

  • Comment removed

  • woah no joke. best cover ive heard

  • Bloody hell, if Halford dies tomorrow who know who to get!!

  • ghosbusters??? heheh...just kidding...great cover XD!

  • Lol!

  • Tim owens

  • This is the best I've ever heard anyone cover a Priest tune.......Rock on Primal

  • Excelent, great....Ralph Scheepersis a great sinnger!!

    Metal is foreveer!!

  • Two Words: Fuck Yeah! Where was this guy when Halford left?

  • He tried out for the band but they choose Ripper instead, that's why he formed Primal Fear, seriously look it up.

  • I know the history my man, it was a bit of a shock because he looked and sounded like Halford post Painkiller. There was once a website that told the whole story but it has since ceased. Thanks though. I love his voice!

  • I heard Tim Owens basically severely under-bid Ralph for the job. Is that true?? Wouldn't surprise me, money is everything these days. Ralph's voice seems better for the job, but Ripper is still very good also.

  • Ripper is trash next to either Halford, or Ralph.

  • Your crazy Rippers as good as this guy if not better and currently Rob as well and this is coming from perhaps this worlds biggest priest fan Robs vocals were optimal up until the fight albulms then he started falling off a tad ive been a huge priest fan since 76 and seen them wewll over 10 times with and without Rob.

  • That's a stupid statement, because tim rippre owens doesnt have a middle voice, which is the hardest part of singing, yes he can scream, but can he sing, no ! So before you try to thrash singers that are by far better then some mediocre guy, learn what middle voice is, i suggest dig up on wikipedia....

  • in Gamma Ray :D

  • Awesome!

  • o fuck... they are really good !!

  • Without doubt the best cover I've heard of this song and probably one of the best Priest covers I've heard too. Ralf is a brilliant singer!

I first got into these guys through the "Nuclear Fire" album and I've never looked back.

  • hahaha are you kidding , goddamn idiot.

  • nobody is better than Rob HALFORD !!

  • ...RONNIE JAMES DIO IS BETTER !!!

but Rob Halford is a METAL GOD!!!

  • Wow! Awesome band! Would love to see these guys live.

  • che schifo....

  • Really enjoyed watching/listening. Great video, great cover band!

  • there not a cover band,ck out there orig.stuff man these guys sound great with that crunchy sound only tubes can make!!!

  • Ya, good cover. Ralf deos not sound quite as much like rob here as he deos in the cover of exciter that he did with Gamma Ray. But this is a great cover none the less.

  • Good cover

  • This is awesome! Better than the original just because it's more power metal orientated.

  • I wouldn't say it's more Power Metal oriented. The music is played exactly the same as the original and the vocals are pretty much the original vocals with a few more screams than normal. It's quite close to Rob's version from Live Insurrection.

  • I agree..i think live insurretion is an awesome version

  • If Ralf joined Judas Priest, then there would probably have been no primal fear, and ripper would not have had got the spotlight he deserves. But who knows what would have happend.

  • I found out from Ripper Owens that he song all the Priest songs in D live. He can sing in E but he says he likes it better in D. I got an e-mail from him about it.

  • Basically, Tipton decided that Ripper's voice sounds better in D. There isn't one Priest song Tim couldn't sing in E or possibly higher.

  • he was supposed to be the priest vocalist when rob left but lost to ripper owens.

  • The bands always fuck themselves choosing the wrong guy, just like Maiden with Blaze Bailey who could have been replaced by Edu Falaschi (Angra) or Ralph Scheepers (Primal Fear)!

  • right the fuk on boys!!!!!!

  • Oh yes YaxBie that I do know. Listen to Feed on Me, its possibly in D, if you turn the speed up to make it sound like E, it makes Ripper sound eerie like Ronnie James Dio! I think there were very few D tuned songs and mainly C and C sharp tuned songs with Ripper. The modern approach was a bad move though. C tuning drains the energy and makes metal music sound bland.

  • FUCKIN BRUTAL

  • Priest rules, but I consider this version very GOOD! Good Job Primal fear, You kick ass!

  • I agree, Ralf Scheepers should have won the Judas Priest audition for lead singer because he would have really powered Judas Priest's songs that Ripper sings with actual standard E tuning unlike the C tuning which sucks!

  • ZackT618: Actually, Priest used D on most songs with ripper (a few exceptions though) and it was not Ripper who decided that they would frop to D. It was Glenn who wanted a modern approach. Ripper is a great singer, a great guy and a good lyricist (unlike Glenn who wrote all the lyrics to Jugulator and Demolition).

    But yes, Ralf fucking rules.

  • GREAT cover. Seen both of the bands live, and they both kick ass!

  • I'm a massive Priest fan to me, there are no better metal bands than Priest but Primal Fear did a fucking kick ass cover here and i'm pleased they kept it the same. Awesome awesome cover and i mean it.

  • good job PF, really great cover.

but still, JP rox all the way.

    Priest!

  • geiles Lied naja sind ja auch Deutsche

  • You know that it's time to pack it in when other bands sound better playing your songs live than you do. That's exactly what happens on this song. I just saw Priest play live a few days ago, and although Scott Travis is still a demon behind the kit, the rest of the band really should just pack it in. Primal Fear's cover of the song is way better than the actual song when played by Priest- and that is really sad.

  • I don't agree with this comment. I just saw the Priest live in Mexico City (for the 2nd time)a month ago and they still rule. The Priest will always be the Priest and Halford will always be the METAL GOD.

Of course you have to consider that they have been rockin' for more than 30 years already and most of them are over 50, so the physical energy might not be the same as in the old times, but they sure fuckin' rock !!!!

  • correction... Halford is the METAL GODDESS =]

  • You're an asshole.

Rob Halford is the METAL GOD !!!

  • wow what a great cover of a great song

  • After hearing Ralf sing a Prise song...its rediculous that he didnt get the job...so I would have chosen Ralf over Ripper, no doubt.

  • @kyleknutt No doubt? What??!? Ripper's version is way better in my opinion!

  • @kyleknutt maybe is closest to halford, but i like ripper alot.. i think ripper would be a good singer for a heavy thrash metal band XD

  • @BertoKing I like Ripper too, I was just talking in terms of who sounds more like Halford. Rippers stuff with Iced Earth was really good as well, but he was just not Barlow. He needs to find his own band where he can excel.

  • @kyleknutt I've got a feeling the reason he didn't get the gig is because sounds just like halford and they probably just didn't want to look like they were trying to get a replica you know? It's unreal how much he sounds like Rob.

  • @kyleknutt I like both but Ripper was way better. The way he had the power in his voice going from low to high and back it was incredible. And I like Primal Fear better then Judas Priest so it is good he didn't get the Job.

  • Ok Guys! Who do you think shoulda got the job of lead singer when Halford left? (I relaise he is back now, im just curious)

    Tim Ripper Owens

    or

    Ralf Scheepers

  • ralf is 100 times better!

  • EASY: RALF SCHEEPERS

  • really sounds like halford! i never realised this tho ive listened to gamma ray quite a bit.. duh

  • Cover brings heat. Very good!

  • very good singer

  • aww he dident do the vocal part at the end, which is on the studio version, that is the best part and isent even in the orginal song, still a kickass cover tho \M/

  • kick ass cover, best I've heard in awhile. Halfords hard as hell to nail.

  • Heavy Metal Gods Version! :D

  • Well, I think there are a lot of people who think they have the answer to: who's the best singer ever? I believe none of this (at least for me) is the best!!! But I'd simply say Scheepers is a great singer, is not better than Halford (obviously) but he does such a great job!!! Ripper is a great singer too, and only in range could be compared tho Ralf!! But they're quite different!!!

  • Have you ever been to a Judas Priest (with Halford) concert? That should be your answer :)

These two singers copy from the Metal God, one of them better than the other.

  • 1:37 - 1:46...someone can explain me WHY Scheepers & Owens make that imaginary punchs or some box training on stage? That's fucking funny xD...Scheepers practice boxing or something? (i don't think that Ripper does xD, he's a fat man)

Thanks to the one who answers me that question, if it have a logical answer, of course :P

  • cool cover, but played too fast.

  • I disagree. This version shows that perhaps the original should have been faster.

  • So you claim judas priest were wrong?yeah right

heavy metal is not about playing something fast, just because you can.this original shows it best.heavy metal needs steadfast tempo and rythm, thats why it's called heavy.

  • Perhaps you could respond to the comment I made instead of your inferences. The tempo of this cover is more appealing to me. Unlike you, I claim to only speak for me. Orchestration and interpretation of music are expressions of the individual artists. This listener prefers the faster tempo of this version. Neither is wrong, nor right... they're just different.

And yes... I know there's acid, thrash, industrial, et al... but if you insist on pretending to be an authority, go for it.

  • Well, it depends on the artist whether he will play it faser or slower, as it also depend on the listener whether he will like it or not, but the fact is that this song looses it's heaviness, if played fast.

You don't drive a truck over 200 km/h because of a simple reason. It wasnt made to go fast.Very simple.

  • no one can sing better than HALFORD

  • halfords voice has gone slightly down hill... he cant hit the high notes as well he still fucking rules though...

this guys the closest thing to halford i think

  • have to agree, hes much better even than ripper, best metal gods cover i ever heard...

  • Nah, Ripper is a lot better than this guy. Ripper and Halford is the best metal singers in the world :)

  • He does sound a lot like Ripper. His high vocals sound cleaner than Rips highs (more screech/gravely) Anybody heard his vocals in Tyran Pace? Super fucking high vocals all the time

  • wow nice the singer actually sounds like halford and does the falsetto right awesome cover

  • sounds more like ripper i think..

  • wello yea but the falsetto i mean

  • Awsome cover...

  • The Best Band Cover of Judas Priest! :D

  • One of favorite bands of all time. I wish folks would stop calling them a priest clone. They do their own material and man does he have a rock voice or what? A cover of a great song by a great band. Yeah! Come to California guys please!

  • Great voice, but he does have this english accent like Halford does.

  • what in the hell wow to much like halford great cover and yeah he can compare to ripper and if priest would have chosen ralf then ripper to replace rob then we wouldnt hear the difference it would have still sounded like judas fucken priest

    rock hard ride free

  • or michael kiske?

  • or Eric Adams?

  • or goku?

  • or your mom?

  • your mom sucks my dick and she let me the head so red

hahaha concha tu madre puto huevon xD

  • yeah that's completely right, of course she did, because you probably know her, and of course she's a "puto" it's pure logic now i'll stop talking to you cause you seem too cool for me

  • that was ajoke by the way

see how you look retarded now?

  • the"your mom" thing

  • Ralf Scheepers or Kai Hansen or Dio or Halford or the dude of queensryche¿??

    whos better !!! xD

  • omg his voices

Ralf Scheepers is Rob Halfords son xD hahahahaha

  • lol did someone hear sound surprised and say "hes better than the ripper" , of course he is, Ralf is up there with the best , easily

  • This fucking cover is awesoomee... sounds soo much like Judas...

    Primal Fear rules!

  • wow he is better than ripper a little bit but lets see him do the rest of the songs

  • no.. ripper can sing better in midle tones, can sing higher with full voice, and hold a note better than ralf...

  • wow he is better than ripper a little bit but lets see him do the rest of the songs

  • Judas priest kicks ass

  • I like Ripper but I would have chosen this guy if I were Priest at that time.

  • yeah!!!!

  • Yeah. I love this. I got an this song in mp3. Very good cover. Super!

  • Never seen this band before, but they can sure kick some arse

  • That is probably the best cover of Judas Priest I'll ever hear.

The guy sounded so much like Rob, it was cool

It beats Blind Guardians cover of Beyond The Realms Of Death.

  • That Fukenrox !!! A little fast is better than a little slow. Rock the fuck on !!!

  • Muito bom!! Parabéns à banda!!

  • These done great, good live band, the singer contacts with crowd well imo

  • they went a little fast. but its still tight

  • q cañon q es primal fear, aguante el metal y aguante judas tambien!!!

  • Primal Fear are the better priest *hide*

  • excellent performance, primal fear orders well excessively!

  • yeah but priest didnt wanna have a German in the band :-)

  • Excellent cover of a metal classic. The singer, Ralf Scheepers, actually auditioned for Judas Priest before Tim "Ripper" Owens did. These guys rock.

  • la raja
