Ron Paul got 10% of the caucus votes, supposedly he wasn't even supposed to get that. Rudy Guiliani did more campaigning in Iowa than Ron Paul did. Lastly, Bill Clinton only got 3% of the vote back in 1992... chew on that for a while.

The FAA (after 9/11/01) instituted new rules saying that no unauthorized flights can be made within 3 miles of an organized event which has more than 30,000 people. The rule goes from 1hr before the event to 1hr after the event. Some low-interest football games may allow for that, and definitely most basketball games (although you only get exposure as people are going in or out of the arena).
