Is this about Markham, Ontario, Canada? If so, that is where I live! I've lived there for 6 years, and through that time I do not beileve that they are doing such bold movements! Instead of building what my sister referenced as "The Largest Asain Mall", I think we should be building more schools, and keep the large lands of farm!
Markham isn't doing it's job. They want to expand like wildfire for profit. We DONT NEED ANOTHER MALL or business centre. or endless rows of residential housing WE need hospitals, education facilities, and most of all, the foodbelt that defines this town. Don't feed the troll. peace.

If Markham taxpayers only knew the real cost of urban sprawl they would be marching on the streets. Let's hope they wake up before it's too late!

Critical that all municipalities follow this path so that developers don't just skip over Markham and move on to the next town.
Let's also make sure that the peaker plant doesn't happen in Holland Landing - talk about food belt!
