that happened to me too. i used sharpie markers. but, i realized, that it doesnt appear blue if you use sharpie marker, AND a sharpie narrow tip marker. wait about 10 minutes, and then use the clear polish. i use a really liquidy clear polish. and i only apply whats needed, if i go overboard on the clear polish, it turns bluish purple. so yeah, maybe my advice would help.

Clear nail polish suggestion: NailTek. It's the best stuff you could possibly get. My mom uses only the base coat on her nails & they are so strong. It's ten bucks for a bottle but it's so worth it.

And thick nail polish isn't always a good thing. I'm always putting this 'thinner' liquid into mines.

i use my white nail polish then just use a fine tip sharpy. it is pretty easy. to keep it from chipping i just use clear coat i hate chips lol

I wouldn't recommend it, but it is possible.

If u use just a regular marker, and put no clear nail polish on top the black marker checkers will come off super easily!!! (I know from experience). If u want to avoid this problem, put some clear nail polish on top but BE CAREFUL because this will also get some of the checkers to come off If u want to avoid this problem just get a black permanent marker :D

in sted of markers or pens i used liquid eye liner and its a lot easier to correct if you mess up. for me it doean't smuge. but yeah thats just a tip i'd like to share.

1. do clear nail polish

2. drawl on checkers or any design on with liquid eye liner

3. wait a few seconds for it to dry

4. do another clear layer of nail polish

Okay, I posted on your other video, here is how I would do it...as a nail tech. I would get a black polish and paint the whole nail black, then get a white striper paint and very slowly add the white blocks in the pattern of a checker board ontop of the black polish. Wait for it to dry and top it with clear :)
