hi, i been looking into geting a couple of ferrets, reading about it online etc. are they happy to live outside in cages all year round or would we need a shed?
also, are there rules with hunting rabbit, seasions etc?
i dont know where to ask these questions so thort ide look here on youtube.
@richard39bucks They need a lot A LOTT of attention. And good food! No cheap shit. feeding them a raw diet is best. or let them hunt for mice/rats/birds/rabbits/frogs
@richard39bucks Greetings, Ferrets are happy to live outside all year round providing they are kept away from direct sunlight and the worst of the weather.Hunting is limited to the winter months due to heavy undergrowth, fleas ticks and most important baby rabbits. No fun having to dig your ferret out every time it kills a youngster underground. Domesticated polecats are just as good as ferrets but sometimes harder to find due to thier colour. White albinoes do tend to stick out on a hedge row
good catch. i do alot of hunting and stuff like that but not ferreting. i have 1 ferret but only for show as it as no clue at all for rabbiting. i would go rabbiting but cant afford a ferret finder as im only 14!!! and i would need a couple more ferrets.
nice one, bet you cant wait for the trash to die back, my gill is expecting her second litter.Doubt the kits will be big enough for work till next year though, the rabbits dont half give them stick under ground. Ive seen my ferret get kicked out of a hole before now
This was there first outing the hob you can see(Brock) was the runt of his litter. He has fathered quite a few litters and he is only just over a year old. Look out for more videos this coming season!
I take mine when their about 1year old I have taken em when younger and they are abit nervous and not confident at all, thats what i have found in the past.
do you like putting your big fella in little holes

@pembsangler It are not polecats. It a ferrets a domesticated polecats. I wont advise to keep polecats as pets. Or ferret poolcat hybrids
