ok so when you said strange I thought it my be fajitas style or something you know actually. . .well different. I make PBJ sandwiches like that all the time. . . then again I may not be the best person to be comparing this to. . .

Bizarre? I wouldn't call it bizarre. Unusual, but not bizarre.
I think it's actually a good idea, each bite would contain crust AND it avoids potential mess due to only having one side for possible "drips".
I think I may start to eat all my sandwiches like this now. You have opened my eyes!
