  • Okay, serverandenforcer is my son's account. I didn't realize he was still logged in. Boy, is HE gonna be surprised! And twice, too! Sorry about the double post. :-P LOL

  • All 3 of my cats were feral when we adopted them. Other than my big male with the attitude, they're loving cats. I know there are organizations that foster feral cats by taking the time to tame them and get them used to living with humans, before adopting them out. Turning loose a fixed cat may cure the over-population problem, but the cat itself is not better off. They can still get maimed or killed by car or predator. Disease is another issue, too. Better to adopt them out.

  • Hurraaayyyyy, now they are neutered! But that does not stop them from killing wildlife. And where does their excrement go? In your garden ? Great. They can also easily contract and spread rabies. Let's be real - ferals are a pestilence in nature. They are like an Invasive Species and they need to be eradicated. With that, and with strict laws ENFORCING owners to micro chip and keep indoors and neuter, we can rid society of the pestilence of roaming, shitting, unlicensed, diseased cats.

  • The best thing people can do to control the population explosion of cats, is to get their cats spayed or neutered. There are a lot of cats that were previously pets that were trapped and taken away from their owners, because they didn't have tags. I think I've lost a lot of cats just because of trapping.

  • Cats are not indigenous. They are a huge problem. Owners need to harness or keep their pets at home. I have severe cat problems, costing a lot of money.

  • True. Only the native wildcats are here. Unfortunately ferals are by products from irrsponsible owners. Our cats are harnesses when outdoors. Never a problem. Only problem is strangers coming into our yard.

  • cats donot have babies, they have kittens.that would be wierd.

  • Thanks for posting. To get more views, you should add some tags like feral, strays, pet overpopulation, kittens etc.
