  • Good Job!

  • @BPtuba57

Thanks for your compliment and for viewing.

  • These lyrics are different from the ones sung for this song in my church.

  • @Lizfan2

Yes, they are. Under the video, click "Show More" for full info.

  • Always glorious! Thanks for getting me in the mood for this upcoming Easter!

  • @davbear221

Thank you! for your kind comments and for viewing.

  • Wow! This is a powerful and moving rendition of this wonderful hymn. This is my number one Easter hymn. If I have not heard this on Easter Sunday, then it is not Easter to me! Fantastic video!

  • @kenpalmer1965

I'm particularly happy with this - two trumpets, timpani, organ, choir and congregation. The last stanza is the Paul Halley (former Music Director/Organist at Saint John the Divine, NYC) harmonization and descant. I did my interlude before the last stanza in the style of Paul Halley.

  • This is really nice!! Thanks for sharing!

  • Excellent!

  • @organtutti Thanks for your comment and for viewing.

  • I've enjoyed listening to this as I am a huge fan of Easter music, but would like to suggest you double check the spelling on the second verse in the video description...don't get me wrong, it's very helpful for folks like me to follow along with these hymns you've posted for those of us not as familiar with them, but I noticed it was "All reation seeks rebirth" when I think it should be "All Creation seeks rebirth"

  • @peakster753 Typo duly noted and corrected.

Thanks for your comments and for viewing.

  • Very nice.

  • Thank you Severin for viewing and your comments.

Greetings to you in Canada from New Jersey, USA.

    Cheers,

  • the descant was beautifull

  • Thank you. Paul Halley harmonization and descant.

  • Really beautiful~ how is the church arranged? all your videos that say "processional" have the choir walking out, lol. is the organ in the back of the sanctuary?

  • Hi "kensingtonpalace",

The camera is stationary so you don't always see the choir when they are moving. For festival processionals, such as Easter, the choir usually starts in the chancel, processes around the nave, and, as you see, then returns to their seating area before the conclusion of the hymn. The organ pipes, except for the Echo division, are in the chancel area directly across from the organ console.

Thanks for viewing and your comments.

  • The organ part towards the end was GLORIOUS!! How marvelous the sound! That instrument is quite nice and has a nice blend with reeds and mix. I wish I could have heard it in person!! MORE MORE MORE!!!

  • Hi "davbear221",

Thank you for your kind comments and for viewing.

    Best regards,

    Wayne

  • How lovely!

  • Wonderful Liturgie and Organ Play - Thanks for this!

  • Thank you for your comments and for viewing.

Grüße zu Ihnen in Deutschland von New Jersey, USA.

  • Excellent, this sounds great. What hymn book do you use as I've noticed your wording is modernised.

Has anyone ever said you look like President Eisenhower?

  • Hi "CCFHymns", Greetings to you in the UK from NJ, USA. Even though we are Episcopal, we use the UCC (United Church of Christ) Hymnal. The text in stanzas 2 to 6 was written for us by Carol Goodwin King (©1997), poet and member of Redeemer. No one has ever said that I look like Eisenhower - I got quite a laugh out of that!! Kind regards, Wayne Wayne Burcham-Gulotta Music Director/Organist Church of the Redeemer, Episcopal 36 South Street Morristown, NJ 07960 USA
  • I agree it does really sound great! Hallelujah, the Lord is indeed risen.

  • Wonderful, Thx again for sharing

  • Thanks for viewing and your comments. Greetings to IA from NJ.

  • FROM COSTA RICA: Very nice but I would have loved to hear more settings on the organ for the last verse.

  • This is a totally over the top expression of praise and worship. It brings Jesus' resurrection to us and infuses it into our very souls. Alleluia! He is risen! He is risen indeed!

  • Thanks for viewing and your comments.

  • Wayne,

This is beautiful and I absolutely love the descant! All of the music in your videos is very inspiring and you are a truly talented music director/organist. Thank you for sharing with all of us!

Oh, and when you get time, please check your youtube inbox for my email.

    God bless!

  • Thank you for your kind comments and for viewing.

  • Nice interlude into the last verse. Was it your own?

  • Hi Jonathan,

    Thank you.

Since the last stanza harmonization and descant is by Paul Halley, my interlude is inspired by his style of improvisation heard on his recordings from Saint John the Divine, NYC.

    Kind regards,

    Wayne
