  • whoa... Tovia Singer is Jonah Hill and Tim Curry with Seinfeld's voice!

  • Part 3 James 2'19 Thou believest there is ONE GOD; THOU DOEST WELL.

JESUS IS the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost. HE is ALL three; ALL three are in Him and He is ONE.

Colossians 2;19 For IN HIM dwelleth ALL of the Fulness of the GODHEAD BODILY.

I am a Christian and I believe in ONE GOD.

  • Part 2 God is a spirit manifesting himself in flesh in Jesus.1 Timothy 3:16

Ephesians 4:5,6 One Lord ONE Faith ONE Baptism. One God and Father of all. NOT 2 ,3,5 or 9.

King James version The word TRINITY IS NOT IN THE BIBLE. That is man made-up or from some other bible. NO WHERE does it say God the Father, God the Son ,

    God the Holy spirit.

NO WHERE does it say THREE OR FOUR PERSONS.

Revelation 4:2 Behold a throne was set in Heaven ,and ONE sat on the throne.

  • @TheChristianforver I'm a bit confused, what do you believe? Do you believe in the trinity doctrine or are you just stating what different people believe, while giving evidence for both sides of the argument, without revealing your own thorought.

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N I believe and understand, that the Trinity originated from the Catholic bible.Written for the Catholics by the Catholics.I read the King James version only.

And you wont find the word Trinity, three separate persons,or God the father God the son God the holy ghost.YOu wont even find the word three. But you will find the word ONE GOD many, many times thoughout the old and new testament.

  • @TheChristianforver "But you will find the word ONE GOD many, many times thoughout the old and new testament."

That's right, there is only one God but I don't believe Jesus was God. I believe Jehovah is God Almighty (Psalm 83:18) and Jesus is God's only begotten son. The firstborn of all creation in heaven and on earth. (Colossians 1:15,16)

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N I don't believe Jesus was God???

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: His name shall be called Wonderful,Counsellor,THE MIGHTY GOD, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:23 Behold,A virgin shall be with child, HIs name shall be called Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US.

1 Timothy 3:16 GOD was manifested in FLESH,justfied in the spirit,,seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles.

  • NOT ALL CHRISTIANS BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY.or three separate Gods.Mark 12:29 Here o Israel the Lord our God is ONE.King James bible.

Jesus deciples said,You're the Son,,show us the Father.Jesus said,When youve seen me youve seen the father, John 14:9&10

In John, The Jews said to Jesus you are not 50 Yrs old. How could you see Abraham, Jesus said, Before Abraham was, I AM. That was God inside of Jesus speaking. Jesus is God inrobing himself in flesh. God is a spirit and manifesting himself.

  • @TheChristianforver "Jesus deciples said,You're the Son,,show us the Father.Jesus said,When youve seen me youve seen the father."

    1 of 2

Jesus is in his Father’s image. (2Co 4:4) Jesus was the one to whom God spoke saying, “Let us make man in our image,” (Ge 1:26) This likeness of the Son to his Father, existed from when the Son was created. (Joh 1:1-3; Col 1:15,16)

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N I think you are trying to point out that the script. says Let us make man in OUR image. Meaning three? The script. never says exactly who he is talking to. He could have been thinking outloud,,He could have been speaking with a host of angels around him.But the following verse 27,says So, God created man in HIS OWN image. created HE them."not WE

Isaiah 44:6 I AM the first and I am the last. And BESIDE ME THERE IS NO GOD.

7,Is there a God beside me?there is no God. I know not any.

  • @TheChristianforver "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth." (Psalm 83:18 King James Version).

Jehovah is the name of Almighty God.

  • @TheChristianforver

When on earth he reflected his Father’s qualities and personality within human limitations, so he could say that “he that has seen me has seen the Father also.”

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N within human limitations??? Matthew 28:18 ALL POWER is given unto me in HEAVEN and in EARTH.

Col.2:19 The FULLNESS of the GODHEAD was in Him.

  • @TheChristianforver "within human limitations???"

I didn't say his POWER was within human limitations, I said he reflected his Father’s qualities and personality within human limitations.

  • Contrasting with this, the Holy Spirit is also spoken of in the New Testiment in an impersonal way. The Holy spirit is compared to water and fire. (Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8) People are urged not to get drunk with wine but be filled with spirit. (Ephesians 5:18) People are filled with Holy Spirit as with wisdom, faith, and joy. (Acts 6:3; 11:24; 13:52). And qualities such as knowlege, longsuffering and kindness are included with Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 6:6)

  • William Craig says that in the New Testiment the Holy Spirit is treated as a person. This is true, however it is not unusual for the bible to speak of something, that is clearly not a person, as a person. Wisdom is said to have children. (Luke 7:35) Sin and death are called kings. (Romans 5:14, 21) And not only spirit but also water and blood are said to be “witnesses.” (1 John 5:6-8)

  • There's no John chapter 28 William Craig. I think you mean John 20:28. After recording what Thomas said at verse 28 the apostle John stated at verse 31 “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF GOD, & that believing you may have life in his name.” You can't concluded from Thomas’ statement that Jesus is himself “the only true God” or that Jesus is “God the Son,” you need to look at what Jesus himself actually said & at the conclusion given by John himself.

  • Tovia brought up questions.... and nobody anwsered them. I'd love to see a debate between these two without a time limit. Tovia would completely decimate william.

  • mashugana oy vey jesus isn't god,,,,,,,,,,, got love it faith is bliss

  • Jesus himself clearly said, "the father is greater than I am, (John 14:28) How could the father (God) be greater than Jesus if Jesus is the father.

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N NO one claims that Jesus is the Father. Jesus was man when he made this quote, and the situation Jesus was referring to was His ascension to the Father, who was greater than Him.

  • @UsWithGod But that doesn't make sense and is the whole point of my argument. How could Jesus Ascend to the father (God) if Jesus and the God are one and the same peoples.

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N Ah, that is not the doctrine. the Father and the Son are both God, but separate persons. They both share equal divinity, equally One God but separate persons. the Father resides in the Kingdom of Heaven, but at the time Jesus said this, Jesus was a man and living in our world. They both share the same divine consciousness, but different personalities.

  • @UsWithGod Jesus called God “the only true God.” (John 17:3) Never did he refer to God as a deity of plural persons. That is why nowhere in the Bible is anyone but Jehovah called Almighty. Otherwise, it voids the meaning of the word “almighty.” Neither Jesus nor the holy spirit is ever called that, for Jehovah alone is supreme. At Genesis 17:1 he declares: “I am God Almighty.” And Exodus 18:11 says: “Jehovah is greater than all the other gods.” (Divine Name King James Bible)

  • @KL8NHAJJ150N This is the way in which God chose to reveal His nature to us in the bible. We cannot, however, comprehend or measure his infinite nature.

  • @giantthaw Rabbi Singer Quoted Jeremiah properly. This is an informal debate so Rabbi Singer introduces a prophecy from Zechariah 8:23 as he is quoting from Jeremiah. "Thus says the LORD of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, 'Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'" The problem here is identical to the problem Christians experience when dealing with Mormons. Mormons have a "new Revelation" too.

  • At the start, Tovia misquotes Jer 16:19, which says Gentiles will come to the Lord God Himself complaining about inheriting lies - a tragic commentary on the present state of denominational Christianity. 613 Torah laws are temporal ordinances (G1378/9) abolished by the Cross Eph 2:15 & Col 2:14; called "carnal" in Heb 9:10. Jesus is the only begotten Son, of the very essence of and one with the Father, both in total unity with the Holy Ghost. Tovia is right about the *holy* Spirit being God.

  • Craig does a good job of defending the Trinity, but he does NOT do a good job of answering Singer's specific objections. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed.

  • very interesting video... now that we have internet we can see and share our opinions about different religion ..which is wonderful. As a moslem I believe Jesus ( PBUH ) and Moses ( PBUH ) both were sent by God almighty , they were prophets.. but we dont believe in Trinity as well.

  • and BTW, the harry potter books are far more entertaining.... the stupidity of the messianic christians is so annoying... you forsake H' for idols... its pathetic

  • there is NO mystery, rabbi Singer is AWAYS RIGHT. harry potter has far more validity than your stupid "new testament".

  • Though we think we are so small, what significance can we have in light of all the Cosmos. But the Big Bang, shows that once, the whole Universe was no bigger than a dot at the end of this sentence. So persuading that size proves anything is invalid. Quality of our sentient mind is the answer, we claim to possess a behavior that is complex, but so is the cosmos very complex, partly seen, and partly unseen and yet all things seem to behave as if it was a Single Object but Subject to Numbers.

  • I’m finding silly that “God would take on human flesh in the person of Jesus,” now I am wondering why a powerful GOD would go through that kind of trouble? I think people choose to believe in a trinity out of faith even though it doesn’t make sense to them.

  • @muneca1226 Well to me it makes sense, Jesus, while on earth was an example of how we should b and live as a christian(human) He lived a life of dependency for God(father) so should we. Study John 17:5 If God is real y can't he do what He want?

  • When the Jews saw the Priest go into the Temple as one dead, by the slaim Ram's blood to prove death, then God entered the Priest on the Day of Atonement, Then the Jews seeing this Transfiguration of the Priest from mortal to dead to raised up as Yahweh God, in the body , The Jews would say " Hear O Israel, the Lord, our God, the Lord is One " That meant the Holy Spirit of God came down from Heaven and entered the flesh of the High Priest , once a year , to foreshadow the Messiah as Divine

  • What would happen leading up to the Day of Atonement in the Jewish Temple, the High Priest would be declared "legally dead to sin" The Ram was slain and the Blood reported to God, Then the Priest would be washed in a Baptism, clothed with Funeral Covering, "Clothed with Righteousness", He went to his own funeral. Then giving himself over to Yahweh, God came down in the Holocaust as the Shekinah Glory , entering the dead Priest and raising him up as Yahweh, speaking directly to the People

  • The first verse of the Bible, the Torah, in Genesis One, verse one, the Narrator opens the Bible in the Second Person Tense, as the speaker, announcing that God, the First Person of Interest, is about the Create the World, saying " IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH" The Narrator of the Eternal Torah then automatically is the Second Person in a Trinity, where God is spoken for, God speaks also Himself in quotes, and then the People in Bible Stories are spoken for.

  • In the Greek Drama, the wearing of masks was commonly used so one actor could alone play every character, coming out of himself, but from also behind a mask Mask in Latin is "Personna" So the Mask is a Sign of God, sent to be seen ,but who is wearing the Mask while Speaking out the Torah Law, is a Covenant Mystery of God being come in the flesh of the Speaker, with fully Authority. To wit, Moses in Exodus 4:16 "You will be as if Yahweh God to him" Deut. 32:6 "Is God not your Father ?"

  • Tertullian was a Lawyer from Carthage , 195 A.D. He described God's behavior as the Trinity, based on "Personna" or the legal meaning of a Sovereign Being, who has many Persons of Character within , to act out in his own Play. The Three Person Tenses of Speech is what the Bible is based on to be an Oral Tradition of the High Priest able to speak for Himself, able to speak for God, and able to speak for the People. Thus The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit engages all Israel as One. 3=1

  • The Catholic view of Jesus, is He is as Levite Priest, in the example of Jeremiah , sent by God, but Jeremiah was a servant, Jesus is the Son of God, which since the times of Moses, inferred a High Priest, whose Body was itself subject to God for a Direct Possession of the Shekinah or Holy Spirit, to wit, then in the Act of Committing the Law, Jesus is actually God, So Jesus was Transformative, one minute the Son, the Next He was God Himself, in the Legal Act of Moses Law , Divine Messiah

  • Why would God be with man so personally as to be Jesus ? To Fulfill the Law of the Atonement, where in , the Jews , since the Book of Lamentations, have not pleased God by the Law, that God in Lamentations chapter two became as the Enemy of the Jews, destroying Jerusalem and no Jew in the Return of the Exiles, pleased God to build a House for God, equal to Solomon. So God came in the flesh as Jesus the High Priest to please God for His own Demands that the Law be carried out Once, Perfectly

  • God is Sovereign, On one Day, God can come out and say "It pleases me to say Jesus is equal to me and thus Jesus is God" And on the next day, according to the King's own Passion , It pleases God to say "Jesus is not God" And so the Mystery of how Jesus is God, is that Jesus is not mixed up God and Man, but Given of God in the Act of what Jesus is doing by the Law, in the Act, Jesus is God, and God is Sovereign to declare what He Will and no man can quarrel with God, who is Sovereign

  • Trinity, interesting idea, but why would G-d send his son to atone for our unintentional sins? That was the purpose of the sin sacrifice in the Temple, at least.

  • Wow. The rabbi owned them!

  • it doesn't matter how many times these guys repeat the doctrine of the trinity, it still doesn't make any kind of sense at all. unless perhaps god has multiple personality disorder lol

  • The trinity is probably the most bizarre doctrine in all of religion

  • @RPFS2008

It is certainly one of the most bizarre, isn't it? Jesus direcly said at John 14:28, "the Father is greater than I am". Colossians 1:15 identifies Jesus as "the firstborn of all Creation" (indicating that he, unlike his Father, was created). In his prayer at John 17, Jesus asks the Father to exult him back to the position *alongside* Him, (therefore not the same person). And finally 1Cor. 15 is clear as to Jesus subordination to God. Jesus and Paul did not believe the Trinity.

  • " when people teach the jesus is god, you're disgracing jesus" - rabbi

    true.

the messiah was the KING of the jews / holy prophet to specifically them them -- they ( jews) neglected their KING / they (jews) a--l--s---o humiliated / stoned the prophets...was hitler sent due to their killing of the prophets ?

peace to ALL of the prophets.

  • Jesus is presented by Mark (a Christian believer, of course) as fully agreeing with a Jewish scribe about God, as defined by the Shema of Deut. 6:5. It is incredible that Jesus Mk 12:29) defines God as Triune. It is equally amazing that Christians bypass the unitarian creed of their own founder! Paul was also Jewish (and truly Christian) in his affirmation of the Shema in I Cr.8:4-6. God is the Father This is unitary monotheism. The Son of God is the adoni of Ps. 110:1 and adoni is non-Deity.

  • The Jews fell away from belief in the Temple and Sacrifice. To them it became smoke and mirrors , magic and not reality, Least of which the Jews were not believing that God by the Way in the Temple, on the Mercy Seat, could actually raise a truly dead man back to life, and that Resurrected Priest would be God in the flesh ,They lost faith in what they then said was hallucinations and childishness. So the Jew made a Judaism of worldly wisdom, of intellect and limited beliefs. rejected Messiah.

  • In the Leviticus Law, when the High Priest is Atoned for, by the blood of a Ram, it replays how Isaac was the sacrifice for the world's sin, but spared by a substitute, that God in Mercy gave as the Gift of the Way to Abraham. So when the High Priest of Israel, in the Temple was so prepared to die and go to heaven and have God take over his flesh and be Yahweh, in that status, the Priest is fully GOD. The Oneness by the Trinity Way, The Father ,Son and Holy Ghost is equally God as One

  • The Jews, when they rejected Temple and Sacrifice, narrowed their view to the Law which says " a son cannot die for his father and the father cannot die for the son, they must die for their own sin" And then the Jews forget the Temple Law of Leviticus, which accounts the High Priest, able to die, ritually, and be changed into Yahweh, and the Priest then Atoned for the sins of the sons of Israel. In that Way only, the man Jesus, as Priest of Yahweh, could die for the people, In the Way.

  • The procession of events leading up to the Day of Atonement, the High Priest of Yahweh ,was ceremonially slain, ransomed only by the blood of the Ram, that he not actually die, but God by Mercy to Abraham, accepting the Way, the Priest was washed in Baptism , Clothed with Righteousness, for his own Funeral, then three days in the Temple. the body lain upon the Ark, the Mercy Seat. God in the Shekinah came down in the Holocaust and raised the dead Priest to Life, and then the Priest was God

  • If we just say God is One, that is a dangling metaphor, which has not explained what the idea of Unity , where many are gathered into one place, with such perfect relationship, there is no dead space, the many just jell into one lump. So, it is not sufficient to explain you have one god. Many religions have only one god, but it is not God. The High Priest, ransomed his mortal life by the Ram to play as a dead man on the Day of Atonement, and God elevated the Priest to speak as Yahweh.

  • The Mathematical proof that God requires Three Witnesses to any such apparition of God appearing to Israel, that they see God as One, is spelled out in the Law, in Deuteronomy 19:15 where two or Three Witnesses are required as "PROOF" ! So the Scripture by itself is not magical or not God alone. Only when the Word is taken up by the Holy Spirit, who has in God's clutches, the Priest, who then speaks the Word in the Spirit, then it is as if God Yahweh is speaking in the First Person Tense.

  • The ultimate explanation of God is that all that which is rightly within the Being of God is all equally God the One. If Jesus was a sinner, He could not stand inside the place where God was standing as the Ghost. The Trinity explains how God is Divine and appearing in various ways, God conceived Jesus to be Priest of Yahweh, He never sinned ,so everywhere Jesus went, the Holy Ghost was in Him,as a Father and Son Unity, So the Torah "Shekinah" Glory, was the "Mover" in Jesus' flesh body, 3=1

  • There is no god "besides God" that means the only domain, the only place God will let a man stand, if God restores him, is inside the Being of God, God will not let any sinner stand near to God or "besides God" But God is Father, to the repentant sinner, whom God sent His Son Jesus to save, and bring into the Being of God, the Exiles to Return to the inner place of God's House, where in, the Many are the One, Jesus is the Son, Jesus is in the Father, such means that God is Divine

  • The Torah is equal to God, Eternal as God, yet it is written in the Style of the Author/ Actor / Stage of just One Being, yet opening up to show Three Person Tense Delivery of Speech. The Torah is the Messiah using His One Voice, with Divine Power to speak as the People, to read aloud their parts , to speak as the Second Person Narrator, and then when Yahweh comes, the Teacher used his same one voice to speak as God directly, in the First Person Tense. Trinity means Tri- Unity God's Divinity

  • Exodus 4:16 " I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do, He shall speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him. But take this staff in your hand so you can perform miraculous signs with it" So YAHWEH Himself tells Moses, God will be with Moses and Moses will put the words into Aaron's mouth, and then Moses would be "YAHWEH" to him. That means God used the Trinity Method , God, Moses, Aaron, Three Witnesses. 3=1

  • The Torah was itself written for the Ancient Story Teller, One Teacher, as the Being chosen of God, out of whose mouth , the Divine Nature of God to separate into Three Person Tenses of Speech. The Torah opens " IN the beginning God created the heavens and earth" So God begins with the Teacher, who is the Second Person Tense Speaker, referring to God who would be the First Person of Interest. In the third verse, God speaks Himself, in the First Person Tense " Let there be light" Trinity

  • This Jewish fool,I am also from bene Israel and he doesn't have a clue of what he talks.Hear oh Israel, the Lord your God is one..(who said Jesus is two?,I and the father are one-john),next "Your God is not a man"....who said that Jesus was a man ??(Before Abraham was,I am-sound like a man to this jewish fool? or let him read Genesis 18-19 where God becomes man).Lastly holy spirit is a distinct person, even according to the Torah (Isaiah 63:10)..This jewish rabbi knows poop

  • @bloodhoundHermetic Wisdom of Solomon (Apocrypha), chapter 5:1-8

"When they see it, they shall be troubled with terrible fear, and shall be amazed at the strangeness of HIS SALVATION, so far beyond all that they (JEWS) looked for.

And they (JEWS) repenting and groaning for anguish of spirit shall say within themselves, This was he, whom we had sometimes in derision, and a proverb of reproach. (YESHUA)

We FOOLS accounted HIS LIFE MADNESS, and his END to be WITHOUT HONOUR..."

  • When a man has his own dream, he is showing a Gift of God working in his own mind . The one mind he has, presents a stage of another mysterious world, where there are mountains and trees, people and then , the very man , whose mind is occupied with dreaming, also enters that dream world and appears to the people, as a person inside the dream, and the people begin to speak to the man , and the man realizes he is sharing a moment with God as God is Divine to Reveal Himself in all things.

  • The Trinity is the Dynamic Power of God as Author, to play out all the parts of His own Story, and be all the Actors, He, as the Author , has imagined to play upon His own Stage. Thus something of God must move through the people, so that sometimes they feel they are in control of their own behavior, but once in awhile they are surprised that something comes over them, and they behave unexpectedly, seeing that God can take over anyone's life and become that person and play their part.

  • God is as the Author, who has all Property Rights to His Passion Play , and every time the Story God has Written to Tell, is so Told, God Himself , as the Author, also occupies the place of the Actor, on the stage , to show the people the Story , God has Written. So God speaks one part, as Father, then God changes his voice and wears another face, a mask, or a change of costume, and God comes out and plays the Son, Then God changes His appearance, so God can appear as Holy Ghost.

  • The behavior of the agreement between Abraham and God was, God agreed to be kindly to Abraham, to help the man consider himself as dead and thus now unafraid of life or death and ready to meet God and not faint. So the acting out of the ritual of slaying the Ram , put Abraham into a frame of mind that he could feel dead and unafraid now to see God, while yet God gave Favor to let Abraham keep living , after the strange encounter of a man meeting God, like one who has died and yet lived.

  • In the Christian Western concept, a Being is a Property of Matter, to the Estate of what constitutes the existence , materially, of a human or God. God's Being can be alive or asleep, thus living or dead, the Being is still materially God's property But the concept of the Person, from the Latin " Persona" which means to wear a "Mask" and act out a play of character on stage, is not material a property but an Ethereal Talent of Behavior that can appear and disappear. God appeared as Jesus.

  • to a muslim, a man is only a creature and has nothing of the uncreated and eternal nature of God. But according to the Bible, a man is indwelt , atop a pyramid of his animal nature, being a creature managed by angels or demons of the fleshly behaviors of animals or beasts, capping off the man is a Gift of God's own Mind, something called the Soul, which was not ever created or can it be ever destroyed, but it is a borrowed talent, a personal property of God Given , hidden in the man.

  • God can intrude so heavily upon a mountain , to appear and make the mountain quake , so that men shall see something of God, who has appeared. God can appear in the fiery flame of the Burning Bush, which the fire does not consume, and that means God has intended to appear to humanity in the body of His Son, the Levite High Priest of Yahweh, in the House of David, where a man was legally declared dead, and God by indwelling the flesh , raised the body back to active behavior as alive.

  • The Catholic Priesthood , is about the man who was, but is now dead, yet the human body the man had, is alive and instead of the man living, the body of flesh and blood is being moved by the Holy Spirit, like a puppet on the right hand of God, The Finger of God comes down from the Invisible Heaven, to intrude upon the body , casting away the will of the man , and taking over the body, God speaks to you " My Son, and if you answer "Father" you are not talking to the man , but to God.

  • Once a year, the Jewish High Priest, normally seen as a "man" was declared a dead man , no longer a man, by the substitute agreement, they slew a Ram in the Priest's name , so as to make God merciful to accept the Priest himself was dead, and then, not then being a man, he went into the Temple, God came down from Heaven ,the Shekinah Glory, and raised the dead priest up to life, and God inhabited the flesh to make the arms ,hands and feet move around, and the people saw God "In the flesh"

  • the muslims do not understand the Trinity, because they did not have the Temple and the Worship of the High Priest, they cannot see the parallels hidden in the ancient religion of the Jews. Abraham , God's friend, make an agreement, God was merciful, let Abraham slay a ram, study that as the substitute, so Abraham felt he himself had died, then the dead man would naturally be able to communicate with God, but in this "Way" Abraham got to see God and yet live. Jesus is Levite Priest.

  • The Ancient Story Teller had the Poetic License to behave as Divinely as God, Though he was one Being, had one mouth , he had the power , as a son of God, to speak in the Third Person as Narrator , to Announce God in the Second Person and then , using the same mouth, mortify himself to death , let God take over the body of the Story Teller, and then the next voice you hear out of the Priest's mouth, is God Himself speaking in the First Person, This is the evidence of the Trinity. 3=1

  • The Torah was written to be read by One, for Many. The Priest , for God. So the Father and Son narrative begins in the first verse of Bible, Genesis 1:1 " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" Who is He who is speaking on behalf of God, that he speaks in the Second Person, about God, rather than God speaking outright in the First Person. So, The Trinity is the actual style of Torah , Three Person Tense, " I Am , Myself, am He" The Story Teller, God is A Trinity.

  • So yeah......we've come full circle. Nimrod is ruling once again. Are you gonna be an Abraham or a follower of foolish doctrine???

  • We're always running out of time at the point of answering crucial questions. LOVE what Tovia Singer is doing. His message is for those of us who WANT to hear what our true selves are seeking.

  • Islam is the only way of life left that maintains the correct concept of God. All others scriptures have been corrupted. Leave the religion of your forefathers and come to the worship of God alone without dividing your worship between God and others. God alone is deserving of worship without associates and partners.

  • @trinityistheLORD Give it up! Even your own Christians have debunked that "moon god" allegation. You only use it to try and cover up the obvious Paganism that exists in the fundamentals of Christian theology. Nothing is more Pagan than the trinity. You're a typical Evangelical extremist who stubbornly refuses to study historical textual criticism. If you did, you'd find your theology suffers greatly due to textual inaccuracies. Then you approach Islam with that same methodology. Big mistake!

  • @trinityistheLORD Camel's piss happens to have healing qualities in it. Just another criticism that wasn't thoroughly researched. (YAWN) BTW, you can't support your own theology, so you attack someone else's? Explain the trinity logically to me and use proofs that are void of historical textual criticism or just cut straight to the character assassination of Muhammad (salla alaihi wa sallam) as is your forte. • why wasnt the question answered at the end! if Jesus is needed to go to heaven then why would God call Abraham his friend when Abraham clearly did not believe in the Trinity or jesus

  • Ha! look at how nervous strobel and craig start getting. "Get out of my head jew you're going to send me to hell" Of course they have to interrupt him and shut him up and change the subject and start directing the action very strictly with questioning. Count how many seconds craig is allowed to speak after that point, and then count how many seconds his opponent gets to speak. Oh well, home field advantage. Scared children playing hide and seek with their own cognition. lol.

  • @m1chae15 Do Catholics worship Mary?

  • @tadpoleposition Some do, in spite of Catholic teachings. There was actually a heresy where come Catholics were found to be doing just that.

Are Catholics SUPPOSED to worship Mary? No. Why not go to the source though? I can point you there if you like. I do stupid Catholic stuff as well, mostly through ignorance.

  • @tadpoleposition Add to this, the confusion brought about by changes in languages. There are some documents speaking of worshipping Mary, however (see 'dulia' 'hyperdulia' and 'latria'), due to word usage of the time, and context, the docs are referring to hyperdulia, which IS the veneration due to Mary. Make the distinction also that Protestants do not use the word worship the same way Catholics do. To Catholilcs, and this is very heavily influenced Judaism, worship = sacrifice, an actual one.

  • @tadpoleposition PROOF OF TRINITY IN THE JEWISH TORAH #1

    Psalm 110:1-5

"The LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."

Psalm 110:5 "The Lord AT THY RIGHT HAND shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath."

THE SECOND lord AT THY RIGHT HAND HAS THE POWER TO "Rule" and "Judge" the EARTH.....which ONLY GOD CAN HAVE.

  • @trinityistheLORD You proved nothing. You can possibly take a 2 in 1 out of those verses you used, but a three in one? Where is it?

  • @tadpoleposition I just came from another debate with the Jews by a video uploaded by "KingOystar"

Youtube: "I am no longer Messianic" IN THE COMMENTS CONTAINS ALL THE PROOF THAT GOD HAS A DIVINITY AND CONTRADICTIONS IN THE TORAH ABOUT THE DIVINITY OF GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!

READ THE 10 PAGES OF COMMENTS I POSTED TO PROVE YOUR QUESTION ON THAT VIDEO....!!!!!

  • @trinityistheLORD So, you're busy "destroying" Islam, but can't even prop up your own theology intellectually, Biblically, or sensically. What is that? Even if the perceived criticisms of Islam were true, although they're not, it's still 100 times better than what Christians have. Do us all a favor, prove your theology with authentic historical sources, not anonymous ones, or maintain the very high standard of ignorance your upon. It's your choice.

  • @tadpoleposition if IGNORANCE ??? is what you call it...then i think ill stay being ignorant...

ps. May god bless you and show you that he is the lord our god...and we in "ignorance" await the second coming of our lord from the heavens who will judge the living and the dead, come o lord, come.Amen.

shalom whoever you are...i will not answer your questions anymore.

  • @trinityistheLORD Typical Christian, running from anything intellectual and would rather pose as a human billboard for Christ. Christianity is completely commercialized and you're a product if its commercialization.

  • I agree with the Rabbi. God is Only One. I was taught the Trinity, but that does not makes sense to me. God told Moses, "I AM THAT I AM". The Holy Spirit is referring to the active force of God, not a separate being. Jesus is the Son of God, not God the Son. That is what I get from reading the WHOLE Bible which I have done. God would not have led the Old Testament Jews in error. If God were a Trinity, He would have revealed that to Abraham, Moses, Isaac, and so forth and so on.

  • Trinity is pants - just can't get my head around how people can so wholeheartedly embrace the idea - perhaps it is whole-heartedly and empty-brainedly

  • @vicachcoup Lol! -Your "whole-heartedly and empty-brainedly" remark really does get to the heart of the issue. No wonder Jews and Muslims laugh at Christians, they have one Adonai, one Allah. But we Christians are more affectionate, more clever, in fact our desire to worship 1 transcendent God just one wasn't enough for us. So we devised a plan of pure Love and turned the Son into the Father. A quasi schizo basket case Deity who suffers from multiple personality disorder 3=1. Love is Evol!

  • @Szygyify

    We complicate the simple.

Say: O People of the Scripture. Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but God, and that we shall ascribe no partners unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside God .

And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him).

    Quran, 3: 64

  • @vicachcoup Right on! May we recognize the One True God so that we may worship him.

  • When something is not explicit it is by default unclear, undefined, incomplete long live blind and obstinate ignorance!

  • Premier Evangelical Protestant Trinitarian Millard Erickson states "The doctrine of the Trinity is not clearly or explicitly taught anywhere in Scripture" Robert Bowman Jr. Evangelical Trinitarian Apologist states "Nobody who believes in this doctrine claims they have a full comprehension of it" B.B. Warfield Reformed Theologian states"The Biblical Doctrine of the Trinity is not Biblical, there are no analogies to it in nature, not even the spiritual nature of man!"

  • The Evangelical Dictionary of of Theology edited by Walter Elwell states, "In the New Testament there is no explicit statement of the Trinity doctrine". G.W. Bromiley, "Trinity", EDT,1112

  • Rabbi Singer punches holes in Will Craig's pathetic presentation and rightfully trounces him in the discussion. Will Craig an otherwise brilliant man's weakness is that he nor anyone else can fully explain the mystery of the Trinity. If it's so mysterious then maybe it's time that honest Christians should read their bible carefully in a historical context, and understand that Jesus was not a Trinitarian!

  • @Szygyify

Nice one - I completely agree - I really respect Dr Craig in his debates - until he starts defending the strage doctrines of Christianity.

Do they forget Mark 12:29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one

  • This is the problem with Evangelicals today (their hypocrisy) they are critical of Roman Catholics for being idolaters, and for being blind followers of human traditions. Evangelicals pride themselves on their purity by adhering to Sola Scriptura yet the Bible does not present a revelation of the doctrine of the Trinity. Evangelicals are paradoxically following Roman Catholics who to their credit have historically admitted that their formulation of the Trinity was not all that Biblical.

  • Kudos to Rabbi Singer for demolishing Will Craig's abysmal defense of the Trinity a presentation full of anachronisms, ahistorical presuppositions, and blind adherence to theological abstractions. I'm not a Jew but the Rabbi neatly trounced the Evangelical Christians ridiculously subjective interpretations of this hideous malevolent and sinister doctrine of 3 in 1.

  • Will Craig states that "the person and deity of Christ is forced upon us when we read the New Testament." It was forced upon us alright, by the likes of Emperor Constantine and Theodosius one through subtle venality, flattery and connivance and the other with the not so subtle use of the sword. Lane Craig upholds a tradition "Trinitarianism" that was defended by bloody genocidal tyrants.

  • Jesus was a 1st Century Jew teaching the Jews that he was the expected Messiah, the son of YHWH GOD. The Jews were and continue to be Unitarians hostile to Trinitarianism. Neither Jesus nor his Apostles were Trinitarians they were Unitarians. 1st Century Christians were Unitarians. 2nd and 3rd Century "Christians" were Binitarians, 4th Century "Christians" were Trinitarians and with the help of Emperor Theodosius by 381 A.D. if you were not a Trinitarian you would be put to death for heresy!

  • The Rabbi seems to think the New Testament is a Catholic lie and that we should just ignore what is written within? He want`s me to ignore verses that have Jesus making claims to his divinity. I`m afraid i`ll never do that

  • @FeignofCordor The Rabbi is correct, BUT if you want to dilute yourself nobody will interfere.

  • Without a moral code to live by (outside of ourselves) ie: 10 commandments. --not the endless laws (613) of the Torah, there is absolutely NO WAY to know the difference between man's philosopy and divine expectation for man.(morality)

Rabbi Singer is actually closer to the truth in this debate, since he has a stated foundation for his beliefs ---not "sacred" conjecture.

  • Matthew 15:9 : In vain they do worship me teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Trinity worship isnt just a doctrinal flaw. It's an abomination.

If I had 2 other people inside of me, or talked to somebody beside my self...they'd call it schizophrenia. In this case it's "normalized" by pontification. More appropriately --spiritual fornication.

"When truth is subject to interpretation...interpretation always becomes the SUBJECT." Repeat a lie often enough it's accepted as truth.

  • The King shall behave according to the Law of His Throne, but when he goes home , he is met by his own kids, who innocently run and jump on daddy ,and beat him up, and so the King becomes another person, off the job. Then when the King and Queen retire, they are in a world of their own, and the King is yet another Person , in this place. So, God as One Being, can be the Father, can be the Son, can be the Holy Spirit as the Job requires the person to behave as the part calls for.

  • 3 detergents...one temperature, does not wash.

Who did Jesus pray to in the garden? ..himself??

Who did he plead to... who forsook him on the cross?

Who raised him from the dead? ..himself?

If he raised himself.. then he didn't really die, and we are still lost in our sins.

For our salvation..divinity must die.. to atone. --not some human nice guy.

Sorry. This debate is equivocation at its highest level: "the falacy of the false dilemma"

Who can worship a mystery?? --3 demerits!

  • @microvantastic Jesus could pray to Himself, if God was inside His body, yes. God as the Author has the deliberate power to play any part of any character God chose to write about, after all, God has no limits and no metaphysical limits. God can do a Cameo, God can stage the world, rehearse the actors and get off the director's chair and just walk on stage and show Himself That is the Mystery of the Sentient Mind, the idea has no material limits, yet it has all Authority

  • Psalms 45:6 " Your Throne O God ,will last for ever and ever; ...therefore God , your God has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy" God's Throne sits the King, who then is in the place of God, and His God anoints Him above all others, thus Messiah is Divinely in the Being of God by sitting upon the Throne, which is Eternal. The Oneness of God holds the saved within the God Himself and is then equal to God, once enthroned in the Glory. 3=1

  • @CarmineFragione ?????wt????

  • The Hebrew Bible is only written with the Consonant Letters. That is the Gift of the Father, as God, God comes as Messiah , the Son , who is God, to fill in the Vowels to "Fulfill" the Word. The Jews have no sight of God and no authority to make a final interpretation of the Bible, by their own filling in of choices of vowels, that part belongs only to Messiah. Jesus as the Word of God holds in His hands the correct choice of Vowels to fill out the Word and unravel the meanings.

  • Can Father, Jesus and Holy spirit have three way conversation? If they can how come they are 1 god? Don't really get it

  • When you make divinity of Jesus, you have to turn the holy book upside down. very hard to reconcile.

  • victoriousihope is looking at the issue from the very helpful historical perspective. Which allows any researcher to understand that the the Triune Godhead began infiltrating Christianity via the Gnostic Valentinus. In wanting to refute his anti Yahwistic theology the Christian Apologists began to employ Platonic metaphysics instead of the Hebrew Scriptures and Christian Apostolic Letters to refute Valentinus. The Gnostics were Trinitarians as were the Pagan and Christian Platonists.

  • The trinity is no more separate beings than "me, my physical body, and my spirit" ......it's sort of just semantics.....but this is not a perfect analogy though, since there is discourse between the Divine Persons within the Trinity. God is one, but He has multiple dimensions.

  • This kind of discussion cheapens a serious and complex subject matter.

  • "Three persons in one being"? " The Godhead a plurality of persons"? " Jesus Truly Man and Truly God"? Where in the New Testament can we find these expressions? What New Testament text explicitly reveals such things?

  • @Szygyify Gospel of John. Starting from Verse 1. In the Beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word WAS God. Word became flesh....blah blah blah. (the Word: both WITH and IS God). Matthew, at the end, "go forth....baptize in the NAME (note the singular) of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, the Ruach Ha Kodesh, is the Spirit of God, and has always been God, but it is clearly also God in His DISTINCT aspect as a "presence."

  • @Szygyify The Trinity is much more complex than what he explains as well. When Jesus was on the Earth, since he was God in the flesh, in a very literal sense he WAS the "presence" of God, therefore he can also be defined as the Presence, Ruach ha Kodesh. he was God. He was God in human form. He was among us (emmanuel), and therefore brought God's Presence. There. Three in One. It's not so much separate entities but distinct functions of the same One True God.

  • The Trinity is not biblical! it a a Platonic-pagan concept that was introduced much later as official Christian dogma in 325 A.D in the Council of Nicea. Jesus never taught his followers to worship him as the all mighty God but he did claim that he was the son of God therefore as a 1st century Jew he was a Unitarian Monotheist. Plato in contrast taught of a God that was 3 in 1! To Hoen, Pneuma, Logos.

  • People should simply respect the boundaries of religion and not consider one more right than the other, except for them, personally.

  • @friedie1jeff Society of tolerance?

  • @LickitungSushi Tolerance, yes.. True, heartfelt respect is also necessary. And the realization that the my-religion-is-better-than-your-religion attitude is wrong. The best pastors, rabbis, imams, reverands, priests, etc have enormous respect for their colleagues in different faiths. Everyone should achieve that level of theological maturity.

  • @friedie1jeff Yes, but to clear things up, you are not denying that there is only one way? I'm not completely sure but I've heard that certain world leaders of different faiths came together and made the collective conclusion that not all their faiths could be the true faith. Thoughts and clarity on these statements and questions?

Also, take a look at Luke 13:22-30 if you're interested in Biblical New Testament scripture on topic with our discussion.

  • @LickitungSushi Of course I am denying that there is only one way. If I thought that, then I would be thinking that only my Faith is the only way. I do not wish to have this discussion with a person who thinks that there is only "one way". There are many analogies to Luke 13.22 in other faiths - including in the Old Testament, that people of other faiths can point to in their faiths. Remember, I used the term "theological maturity". You apparently have not reached that level.

  • @friedie1jeff Sorry, what is theological maturity?

  • @DamianFinch Okay. So how should Genesis 1:26,27 and 19:24 be translated?

  • The God of Gen. 1:1 (Elohim) said : "let US create man in OUR image; after OUR likeness..." (Gen 1:26) and in the very next verse "So God created man in HIS own image..." So the God in vs. 27 is the US in verse 26. The US cannot be God and angels, because angels are created beings themselves, NOT creators. In Gen. 19:24: "Then the Lord (Jehovah) rained upon Sodom...brimstone and fire from the Lord (Jehovah) out of heaven" Notice the two Jehovahs. You'd think Jews would wonder about this.

  • The Rabbi's error is as follows: He says that there was over 1,000 years from the Law to Jesus and no trinity was spoken of, however, there were also many years from creation to the giving of the Law. Does that make the Law invalid? Time line placement does not make something not true. His logic is flawed and inconsistent in this manner.

  • First of all, Willy, it's John, chapter 20, not John 28. Second, Jesus did NOT say "Blessed are you" to Thomas.

The doctrine of the Father and Son and HG being 3 different gods is also "forced upon" you. Why would God ask himself to "take the cup away from me," but then say, "not as I want, but as I want?" That's just plain silly.

  • Thumbs up if you watched the Rabbi thinking, "what is that thing on your head?" and "what's with that expression on your face? Do you have something stuck where it shouldn't be?"... :P
