That's right, there is only one God but I don't believe Jesus was God. I believe Jehovah is God Almighty (Psalm 83:18) and Jesus is God's only begotten son. The firstborn of all creation in heaven and on earth. (Colossians 1:15,16)

When on earth he reflected his Father’s qualities and personality within human limitations, so he could say that “he that has seen me has seen the Father also.”

(Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8) People are urged not to get drunk with wine but be filled with spirit. (Ephesians 5:18) People are filled with Holy Spirit as with wisdom, faith, and joy. (Acts 6:3; 11:24; 13:52). And qualities such as knowlege, longsuffering and kindness are included with Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 6:6)
William Craig says that in the New Testiment the Holy Spirit is treated as a person. This is true, however it is not unusual for the bible to speak of something, that is clearly not a person, as a person. Wisdom is said to have children. (Luke 7:35) Sin and death are called kings. (Romans 5:14, 21) And not only spirit but also water and blood are said to be “witnesses.” (1 John 5:6-8)
There's no John chapter 28 William Craig. I think you mean John 20:28. After recording what Thomas said at verse 28 the apostle John stated at verse 31 “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF GOD, & that believing you may have life in his name.” You can't concluded from Thomas’ statement that Jesus is himself “the only true God” or that Jesus is “God the Son,” you need to look at what Jesus himself actually said & at the conclusion given by John himself.

@KL8NHAJJ150N NO one claims that Jesus is the Father. Jesus was man when he made this quote, and the situation Jesus was referring to was His ascension to the Father, who was greater than Him.

They both share equal divinity, equally One God but separate persons. the Father resides in the Kingdom of Heaven, but at the time Jesus said this, Jesus was a man and living in our world. They both share the same divine consciousness, but different personalities.

very interesting video... now that we have internet we can see and share our opinions about different religion ..which is wonderful. As a moslem I believe Jesus ( PBUH ) and Moses ( PBUH ) both were sent by God almighty , they were prophets.. but we dont believe in Trinity as well.

Though we think we are so small, what significance can we have in light of all the Cosmos. But the Big Bang, shows that once, the whole Universe was no bigger than a dot at the end of this sentence. So persuading that size proves anything is invalid. Quality of our sentient mind is the answer, we claim to possess a behavior that is complex, but so is the cosmos very complex, partly seen, and partly unseen and yet all things seem to behave as if it was a Single Object but Subject to Numbers.
I’m finding silly that “God would take on human flesh in the person of Jesus,” now I am wondering why a powerful GOD would go through that kind of trouble? I think people choose to believe in a trinity out of faith even though it doesn’t make sense to them.

Trinity, interesting idea, but why would G-d send his son to atone for our unintentional sins? That was the purpose of the sin sacrifice in the Temple, at least.

It is certainly one of the most bizarre, isn't it? Jesus direcly said at John 14:28, "the Father is greater than I am". Colossians 1:15 identifies Jesus as "the firstborn of all Creation" (indicating that he, unlike his Father, was created). In his prayer at John 17, Jesus asks the Father to exult him back to the position *alongside* Him, (therefore not the same person). And finally 1Cor. 15 is clear as to Jesus subordination to God. Jesus and Paul did not believe the Trinity.

If we just say God is One, that is a dangling metaphor, which has not explained what the idea of Unity , where many are gathered into one place, with such perfect relationship, there is no dead space, the many just jell into one lump. So, it is not sufficient to explain you have one god. Many religions have only one god, but it is not God. The High Priest, ransomed his mortal life by the Ram to play as a dead man on the Day of Atonement, and God elevated the Priest to speak as Yahweh.
The Mathematical proof that God requires Three Witnesses to any such apparition of God appearing to Israel, that they see God as One, is spelled out in the Law, in Deuteronomy 19:15 where two or Three Witnesses are required as "PROOF" ! So the Scripture by itself is not magical or not God alone. When a man has his own dream, he is showing a Gift of God working in his own mind . The one mind he has, presents a stage of another mysterious world, where there are mountains and trees, people and then , the very man , whose mind is occupied with dreaming, also enters that dream world and appears to the people, as a person inside the dream, and the people begin to speak to the man , and the man realizes he is sharing a moment with God as God is Divine to Reveal Himself in all things.
The Trinity is the Dynamic Power of God as Author, to play out all the parts of His own Story, and be all the Actors, He, as the Author , has imagined to play upon His own Stage. Thus something of God must move through the people, so that sometimes they feel they are in control of their own behavior, but once in awhile they are surprised that something comes over them, and they behave unexpectedly, seeing that God can take over anyone's life and become that person and play their part.
God is as the Author, who has all Property Rights to His Passion Play , and every time the Story God has Written to Tell, is so Told, God Himself , as the Author, also occupies the place of the Actor, on the stage , to show the people the Story , God has Written. So God speaks one part, as Father, then God changes his voice and wears another face, a mask, or a change of costume, and God comes out and plays the Son, Then God changes His appearance, so God can appear as Holy Ghost.
The behavior of the agreement between Abraham and God was, God agreed to be kindly to Abraham, to help the man consider himself as dead and thus now unafraid of life or death and ready to meet God and not faint. So the acting out of the ritual of slaying the Ram , put Abraham into a frame of mind that he could feel dead and unafraid now to see God, while yet God gave Favor to let Abraham keep living , after the strange encounter of a man meeting God, like one who has died and yet lived.
In the Christian Western concept, a Being is a Property of Matter, to the Estate of what constitutes the existence , materially, of a human or God. God's Being can be alive or asleep, thus living or dead, the Being is still materially God's property But the concept of the Person, from the Latin " Persona" which means to wear a "Mask" and act out a play of character on stage, is not material a property but an Ethereal Talent of Behavior that can appear and disappear. God appeared as Jesus.
to a muslim, a man is only a creature and has nothing of the uncreated and eternal nature of God. But according to the Bible, a man is indwelt , atop a pyramid of his animal nature, being a creature managed by angels or demons of the fleshly behaviors of animals or beasts, capping off the man is a Gift of God's own Mind, something called the Soul, which was not ever created or can it be ever destroyed, but it is a borrowed talent, a personal property of God Given , hidden in the man.
God can intrude so heavily upon a mountain , to appear and make the mountain quake , so that men shall see something of God, who has appeared. God can appear in the fiery flame of the Burning Bush, which the fire does not consume, and that means God has intended to appear to humanity in the body of His Son, the Levite High Priest of Yahweh, in the House of David, where a man was legally declared dead, and God by indwelling the flesh , raised the body back to active behavior as alive.
The Catholic Priesthood , is about the man who was, but is now dead, yet the human body the man had, is alive and instead of the man living, the body of flesh and blood is being moved by the Holy Spirit, like a puppet on the right hand of God, The Finger of God comes down from the Invisible Heaven, to intrude upon the body , casting away the will of the man , and taking over the body, God speaks to you " My Son, and if you answer "Father" you are not talking to the man , but to God.
Once a year, the Jewish High Priest, normally seen as a "man" was declared a dead man , no longer a man, by the substitute agreement, they slew a Ram in the Priest's name , so as to make God merciful to accept the Priest himself was dead, and then, not then being a man, he went into the Temple, God came down from Heaven ,the Shekinah Glory, and raised the dead priest up to life, and God inhabited the flesh to make the arms ,hands and feet move around, and the people saw God "In the flesh"
the muslims do not understand the Trinity, because they did not have the Temple and the Worship of the High Priest, they cannot see the parallels hidden in the ancient religion of the Jews. Abraham , God's friend, make an agreement, God was merciful, let Abraham slay a ram, study that as the substitute, so Abraham felt he himself had died, then the dead man would naturally be able to communicate with God, but in this "Way" Abraham got to see God and yet live. The Ancient Story Teller had the Poetic License to behave as Divinely as God, Though he was one Being, had one mouth , he had the power , as a son of God, to speak in the Third Person as Narrator , to Announce God in the Second Person and then , using the same mouth, mortify himself to death , let God take over the body of the Story Teller, and then the next voice you hear out of the Priest's mouth, is God Himself speaking in the First Person, This is the evidence of the Trinity. 3=1
The Torah was written to be read by One, for Many. The Priest , for God. So the Father and Son narrative begins in the first verse of Bible, Genesis 1:1 " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" Who is He who is speaking on behalf of God, that he speaks in the Second Person, about God, rather than God speaking outright in the First Person. So, The Trinity is the actual style of Torah , Three Person Tense, " I Am , Myself, am He" The Story Teller, God is A Trinity.

Islam is the only way of life left that maintains the correct concept of God. All others scriptures have been corrupted. Leave the religion of your forefathers and come to the worship of God alone without dividing your worship between God and others. God alone is deserving of worship without associates and partners.

There are some documents speaking of worshipping Mary, however (see 'dulia' 'hyperdulia' and 'latria'), due to word usage of the time, and context, the docs are referring to hyperdulia, which IS the veneration due to Mary. Make the distinction also that Protestants do not use the word worship the same way Catholics do. To Catholilcs, and this is very heavily influenced Judaism, worship = sacrifice, an actual one.

I agree with the Rabbi. God is Only One. I was taught the Trinity, but that does not makes sense to me. God told Moses, "I AM THAT I AM". The Holy Spirit is referring to the active force of God, not a separate being. Jesus is the Son of God, not God the Son. That is what I get from reading the WHOLE Bible which I have done. God would not have led the Old Testament Jews in error. If God were a Trinity, He would have revealed that to Abraham, Moses, Isaac, and so forth and so on.

When Jesus was on the Earth, since he was God in the flesh, in a very literal sense he WAS the "presence" of God, therefore he can also be defined as the Presence, Ruach ha Kodesh. he was God. He was God in human form. He was among us (emmanuel), and therefore brought God's Presence. There. Three in One. It's not so much separate entities but distinct functions of the same One True God.
The Trinity is not biblical! it a a Platonic-pagan concept that was introduced much later as official Christian dogma in 325 A.D in the Council of Nicea. The God of Gen. 1:1 (Elohim) said : "let US create man in OUR image; after OUR likeness..." (Gen 1:26) and in the very next verse "So God created man in HIS own image..." So the God in vs. 27 is the US in verse 26. The US cannot be God and angels, because angels are created beings themselves, NOT creators. In Gen. 19:24: "Then the Lord (Jehovah) rained upon Sodom...brimstone and fire from the Lord (Jehovah) out of heaven" Notice the two Jehovahs. You'd think Jews would wonder about this.
The Rabbi's error is as follows: He says that there was over 1,000 years from the Law to Jesus and no trinity was spoken of, however, there were also many years from creation to the giving of the Law. Does that make the Law invalid? Time line placement does not make something not true. His logic is flawed and inconsistent in this manner.

The doctrine of the Father and Son and HG being 3 different gods is also "forced upon" you. Why would God ask himself to "take the cup away from me," but then say, "not as I want, but as I want?" That's just plain silly.

William Craig says that in the New Testiment the Holy Spirit is treated as a person. This is true, however it is not unusual for the bible to speak of something, that is clearly not a person, as a person. Wisdom is said to have children. (Luke 7:35) Sin and death are called kings. (Romans 5:14, 21) And not only spirit but also water and blood are said to be “witnesses.” (1 John 5:6-8)

There's no John chapter 28 William Craig. I think you mean John 20:28. After recording what Thomas said at verse 28 the apostle John stated at verse 31 “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF GOD, & that believing you may have life in his name.” You can't concluded from Thomas’ statement that Jesus is himself “the only true God” or that Jesus is “God the Son,” you need to look at what Jesus himself actually said & at the conclusion given by John himself.

They both share equal divinity, equally One God but separate persons. the Father resides in the Kingdom of Heaven, but at the time Jesus said this, Jesus was a man and living in our world. So persuading that size proves anything is invalid. It is certainly one of the most bizarre, isn't it? Jesus direcly said at John 14:28, "the Father is greater than I am". Colossians 1:15 identifies Jesus as "the firstborn of all Creation" (indicating that he, unlike his Father, was created). In his prayer at John 17, Jesus asks the Father to exult him back to the position *alongside* Him, (therefore not the same person). And finally 1Cor. 15 is clear as to Jesus subordination to God. Jesus and Paul did not believe the Trinity.

If we just say God is One, that is a dangling metaphor, which has not explained what the idea of Unity , where many are gathered into one place, with such perfect relationship, there is no dead space, the many just jell into one lump. So, it is not sufficient to explain you have one god. Many religions have only one god, but it is not God. The High Priest, ransomed his mortal life by the Ram to play as a dead man on the Day of Atonement, and God elevated the Priest to speak as Yahweh.

The Mathematical proof that God requires Three Witnesses to any such apparition of God appearing to Israel, that they see God as One, is spelled out in the Law, in Deuteronomy 19:15 where two or Three Witnesses are required as "PROOF" ! There are some documents speaking of worshipping Mary, however (see 'dulia' 'hyperdulia' and 'latria'), due to word usage of the time, and context, the docs are referring to hyperdulia, which IS the veneration due to Mary. Make the distinction also that Protestants do not use the word worship the same way Catholics do. To Catholilcs, and this is very heavily influenced Judaism, worship = sacrifice, an actual one.

I agree with the Rabbi. God is Only One. I was taught the Trinity, but that does not makes sense to me. God told Moses, "I AM THAT I AM". The Holy Spirit is referring to the active force of God, not a separate being. Jesus is the Son of God, not God the Son. That is what I get from reading the WHOLE Bible which I have done. God would not have led the Old Testament Jews in error. If God were a Trinity, He would have revealed that to Abraham, Moses, Isaac, and so forth and so on.

Rabbi Singer punches holes in Will Craig's pathetic presentation and rightfully trounces him in the discussion. Will Craig an otherwise brilliant man's weakness is that he nor anyone else can fully explain the mystery of the Trinity. This is the problem with Evangelicals today (their hypocrisy) they are critical of Roman Catholics for being idolaters, and for being blind followers of human traditions. Evangelicals pride themselves on their purity by adhering to Sola Scriptura yet the Bible does not present a revelation of the doctrine of the Trinity. Evangelicals are paradoxically following Roman Catholics who to their credit have historically admitted that their formulation of the Trinity was not all that Biblical.

Jesus was a 1st Century Jew teaching the Jews that he was the expected Messiah, the son of YHWH GOD. The Jews were and continue to be Unitarians hostile to Trinitarianism. Neither Jesus nor his Apostles were Trinitarians they were Unitarians. 1st Century Christians were Unitarians. 2nd and 3rd Century "Christians" were Binitarians, 4th Century "Christians" were Trinitarians and with the help of Emperor Theodosius by 381 A.D. if you were not a Trinitarian you would be put to death for heresy!

The King shall behave according to the Law of His Throne, but when he goes home , he is met by his own kids, who innocently run and jump on daddy ,and beat him up, and so the King becomes another person, off the job. Then when the King and Queen retire, they are in a world of their own, and the King is yet another Person , in this place. So, God as One Being, can be the Father, can be the Son, can be the Holy Spirit as the Job requires the person to behave as the part calls for.

The Hebrew Bible is only written with the Consonant Letters. That is the Gift of the Father, as God, God comes as Messiah , the Son , who is God, to fill in the Vowels to "Fulfill" the Word. The Jews have no sight of God and no authority to make a final interpretation of the Bible, by their own filling in of choices of vowels, that part belongs only to Messiah. Jesus as the Word of God holds in His hands the correct choice of Vowels to fill out the Word and unravel the meanings.

The Gnostics were Trinitarians as were the Pagan and Christian Platonists.

The trinity is no more separate beings than "me, my physical body, and my spirit" ......it's sort of just semantics.....but this is not a perfect analogy though, since there is discourse between the Divine Persons within the Trinity. God is one, but He has multiple dimensions.

@Szygyify Gospel of John. Starting from Verse 1. In the Beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word WAS God. Word became flesh....blah blah blah. (the Word: both WITH and IS God). Matthew, at the end, "go forth....baptize in the NAME (note the singular) of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, the Ruach Ha Kodesh, is the Spirit of God, and has always been God, but it is clearly also God in His DISTINCT aspect as a "presence."

When Jesus was on the Earth, since he was God in the flesh, in a very literal sense he WAS the "presence" of God, therefore he can also be defined as the Presence, Ruach ha Kodesh. he was God. He was God in human form. He was among us (emmanuel), and therefore brought God's Presence. There. Three in One. It's not so much separate entities but distinct functions of the same One True God.

The Trinity is not biblical! it a a Platonic-pagan concept that was introduced much later as official Christian dogma in 325 A.D in the Council of Nicea. Jesus never taught his followers to worship him as the all mighty God but he did claim that he was the son of God therefore as a 1st century Jew he was a Unitarian Monotheist. Plato in contrast taught of a God that was 3 in 1! To Hoen, Pneuma, Logos.

I'm not completely sure but I've heard that certain world leaders of different faiths came together and made the collective conclusion that not all their faiths could be the true faith. I do not wish to have this discussion with a person who thinks that there is only "one way". There are many analogies to Luke 13.22 in other faiths - including in the Old Testament, that people of other faiths can point to in their faiths. Remember, I used the term "theological maturity". You apparently have not reached that level.

The God of Gen. 1:1 (Elohim) said : "let US create man in OUR image; after OUR likeness..." (Gen 1:26) and in the very next verse "So God created man in HIS own image..." So the God in vs. 27 is the US in verse 26. The US cannot be God and angels, because angels are created beings themselves, NOT creators. In Gen. 19:24: "Then the Lord (Jehovah) rained upon Sodom...brimstone and fire from the Lord (Jehovah) out of heaven" Notice the two Jehovahs. You'd think Jews would wonder about this.

The Rabbi's error is as follows: He says that there was over 1,000 years from the Law to Jesus and no trinity was spoken of, however, there were also many years from creation to the giving of the Law. Does that make the Law invalid? Time line placement does not make something not true. His logic is flawed and inconsistent in this manner.

First of all, Willy, it's John, chapter 20, not John 28. Second, Jesus did NOT say "Blessed are you" to Thomas.
The doctrine of the Father and Son and HG being 3 different gods is also "forced upon" you. Why would God ask himself to "take the cup away from me," but then say, "not as I want, but as I want?" That's just plain silly.
