This all makes sense but you first have take the leap of faith that there is a god. How do you do that? Why would you do that? And if there is a god, why different religions? Why have religions that hate each other? The radical Muslim who kills the infidel, believes he is going to heaven.Yet so did the crusader who forced conversions and so do Jews. Who's right? A pacifist would say that they're all right. But that's not possible.

@MYeyeFIRE All of the atrocities of the last 2000 years have been perpetrated by Christians. The pagan concept of God coming down as man (which God clearly states to Moses, HE can never do, never be physical) was the Devil's greatest lie. If any religion worships the Devil it's Christians, who hate everyone, and believe only they will be saved. Judaism believes all of God's children are loved by HIM and all will be saved. Which belief comes from God and which comes from the Devil?

What about voices that pass the logic test but contradict God's Laws? Should we follow a voice that goes against God's Law? That's a big point that you missed, perhaps on purpose. Many people of all religions do things which contradict the laws of their own scripture.

Where in the Bible does it say that God told Abraham to go/journey to himself? The only source of God's voice and God's Truth is the Bible. (Psalm119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.) God's truth is not always logical (to us) because His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. Isaiah 55:7-9 God speaks to us through His Word. Always compare what you "hear" or believe to be from God with His written revelation, the Bible.

if you "loose your logic and your rationality" as the rabbi says then how will you be able to differentiate between the voice of God the voice of saten? further more what was the need to send prophets with revelations when God talks to us all the time. we (supposedly) have what the prophets have (namely the ability to hear God) and so do the prophets.
