Played this game at first on a 486SX 25MHz with 4MB of RAM. Hated that little card they put in the box that showed you the difference between 4MB of RAM and 16MB of RAM and what it did to the textures. 16MB of RAM was pretty hefty back then.
This was taken via the built-in record function of DOSBox.
You should have seen how it ran BEFORE I optimized it. Wasn't playable.
It runs a little smoother when I'm not recording, but the audio still chops up.
Also, this was on my old machine, which didn't have a great processor by today's standards, so when it attempts to emulate an entire other computer, it bogged down. Haven't tried it on the new one yet (Been busy), but I should think an AMD 3800+ 64-bit should handle it much better
O Sh** I am obbsessed by this game, it was a virtually unoticed master peace. Man the music still makes shivers go down my spine.I remember watching the demo and thinking, this is unreal...and it is. Why was the music in the second game no where near as good?
wow! that would be awesome! I think I might have a meltdown of joy if I see Ardo again hahaha... I haven't been able to play my old disc (wasn't there SEVEN of them??) since the mid 90s!! radical
Provided I don't end up busted for copyrights, which I doubt as the company (Access Software) no longer exists, I'm going to try to make vids of all the cutscenes.
I loved this game! A shame it's shuch a hazzle to play old games like this on modern pc's!

Sure was. I vividly remember working most of the summer picking strawberries to afford another 4MB for a whopping 8MB total. Man, my rig was pimped!

What type of slow emulator are you running that on? It ran faster in full-screen on my brand new Pentium 90!

This game did not get enough credit. It was fantastic in its day. Put Myst to shame which is what everybody was playing.
