the type of warhead an rpg uses is really not very efficient for fishing at all, it's typically suited for disabling light armour. while it may seem effective against large, closely ranked formations of fish, you could get much better results with a high explosive round, and not one with the armour piercing capabilities of an rpg

The majority of the munitions used by Afghanistan and the other former members of the Soviet Bloc were supplied by the USSR themselves when they occupied said countries. That is why the weapon of choice over there is the AK and the RPG-7 (as seen in this video). True that the US and other UN countries did provide weapons through 3rd parties, but not nearly to the scale of the USSR themselves. Pretty ironic to turn their own weapons back on them.
