  • this should be the anthem of real madrid since they have ozil sahin and altintop :))

  • MAN GREEK AND TUzrkisH MUSIC IS SOOO SAME>>very nice

  • Beautiful. It sounds more rich and complex in sound than some folk songs I've heard. Turkish music is reknown as a source of inspiration to other peoples' music and even to Classical composers, because Turkey has been a bridge between different cultures since the Ancient Age. This melody is an example of how accepting different foreign influences may result in something that is great. Music is special because it clearly demonstrates how humans are all equal. Greetings from Brazil.

  • @Homoclassicus

    nicely said sir :)

  • The balkans were influenced by the ottomans

  • @kalimeraba..thanks for your beautiful true comment..

but many people from the balkans think that's the music of them ;-)

  • @Love1Cuba You know why they think so? Because the music of balkans is all the same stuff :D

Balkans is situated at the gate to orient and it`s an areea were east and west always been in conflict.

Both byzantines and turks strongly influenced and shaped the music of south-east Europe.

    Peace.

  • Yes we Turks are brother with Greeks.

  • TURKS AND ARMENIANS SHOULD STOP SQUABBLING... THEY BOTH HAVE AMAZING MUSIC! TURKISH-ARMENIAN FRIENDSHIP!

    from IRAN!

  • bro ;)

  • Amen!!

  • @sasua741 it is not that easy man you see they want some land some money

  • to be fair you took 1.5 million of their souls

  • it was a war between nationalist armenians and ottoman empire TO BE FAİR you know no shit so stfu

  • more like we kicked them out to lebanon and syria and they died on the way...

but you have to consider millions of turks were dying.. we cudnt exactly provide them adequate food and medicine... when no one had that

  • @efe122 No, there were massacres.... like the Adana Massacre... Ye... Adana

it used to be an almost Armenian majority city... The Only people who helped the Armenians were Arab Peasants

  • dude .. my family is from arapkir which used to be full of armenians... there werent official massacres, when they were being exiled and led out of the towns... kurdish tribal bands would sometimes attack to loot them... but thats not government sanctioned.. but the british propaganda department and the americans used it to rally support for the war in the middle east

  • @efe122 I believe Ottoman soldiers did... But for arguments sake lets say they didnt... are you saying it is now "fine". Keeping in mind (u did admit) they died anyway

  • this music is beautiful. we Greeks also have makams like hicaz, but we also have strong influence from Byzantine music which has its own microtonal system.

  • subhanAllah this is amazing! I am Greek and this reminds me of the music I grew up with! I think we Greeks and Turks have to admit that we are brothers and sisters....heehee

  • beautiful :)

  • bu kültürün hayatta kalması için bişeyler yapmak lazım ama ne yazık ki halkımız çoktan unutmuş bunları

  • cok güzel!

  • Very very similar to Hungarian music! I like it very much! cok güzel! some similar traditional hungarian music: /watch?v=G7JNKuPr0rM and this: watch?v=D6RaU9n4ZuI The above one is very strange.. because this is not a folk song originally ... maybe one more very ancient watch?v=yn3mp9zIkrI Last one is very touching to me.. Turkiye arkadas
  • @Yolyboru, they listen to Britney Spears because they either don't know any better if they live in the States, or they're trying to be cool and have deliberately deafened themselves if they live in Turkey. Either way, it's sad. This is very beautiful.

  • Beautiful!

I already discovered the "Sevdah", now, i go to the origins of it's beauty, Turkish music.

P.S How can people listen to Britney Spears, when such rich, passionate, driven music exists!!!

I want to discover all cultures in the world!

    For now, Turkey.

    VIVA TURQUÍA

  • News flash my man, not everyone does listen to Britney Spears. And aimed at @ PrinceTheRipperBe17 you have a really limited view on Americans... Maybe if you actually came to the States you would see that Americans listen to music from around the world you ignorant fk.

  • Bytheway, Britney was an example, couse she is known all over the wold, i'm talking about poor pop in general, understand? Hwo is the ignorant???

  • I'm from Italy...I also love music from all over the world...the problem isn't which kind of music people like..the biggest problem is that you can't listen to this music on the radio on the tv...they get money with POP not with traditional music..also when there are some folk festival, they aren't publicized ...so,POP dominates the market and the scene...it has the "market monopoly"..

  • Yes, it's abuut the money ofcourse..It allways is.

My point is actually...I feel sorry for the people that will never discover the feeling this special things heave to offer, the good things in live, like food or coffie from Italy, or music from Macedonia...And soooó many things! In stead they listen to Frans Bauer, hahaha!!!

  • I also feel very sad when I invite some friends to a traditional music concert from a XX country and they fall asleep..I think "how can't you appreciate such a GIFT this people are giving to you??"...but anyone has his own point of view,so...I can't do anything to let them understand what they are missing..

  • What i'm concerned about also is, there is so many shit in this world created by humans, and most of them (in general) don't see or feel the few beautiful things humans create, ART.

I think ART and other beauty is the only part of the human it's worth living, the rest is filth.

Enyway, i like your way of thinking, you seem like a tolerant person. keep it up!

    RESPECT!Jeje

  • I also think about it...the only answer I found is that only people with PURE minds can appreciate the real beauties and people with pure minds are really rare. Most of them are dominated from

feelings like avarice, lewdness, egoism and so on and they have no time to open their minds to the nice things of the world.Their minds are corrupted from these feelings..do u understand what I mean? Thanks anyway,I also like ur point of view :) where are u from?

  • Yes, i totaly understand what you mean, specially the part of the avarice. Most of the people i observe are soo focus on looks, expensive cars ect...The feeling they are the most dominant creautures of all gives them a giant satisfaction.

  • Jeje..es verdad!!Si prefieres podemos hablar espanol... You know, human mind is the most complicated "machine" of this world,so... we can't do anything to change the point of view of those people ;)

  • Hahaha! Escribes muy bien en Castellano, chica!

    English is fine, jeje

It's true, such complex functioning machine is not avelable in the market of the animals, i loove animals, so simpel and honest, jeje!

    Gr,:)

  • Muchas gracias...:) When people say "Hey,we are animals!!Nothing more!!" I always answered "Please, stop injure the poor animals !!" jeje :P

  • Yes, i agree!

It is our duty to protect and respect all these beautyful creautures.Don't we say we are inteligent animals, animals that can rationate? Well, than we must use our brains once and for all!

Que ya seria hora de usarlo...

What i don't understand, is the arrogance humanity holds...whith what right?!

    Saludos!!!

(We are occuping the hole place, here..Jejeje!;)

  • Yes,we are...but i don't think it's a problem :P As I told you,I think that of course human brain is very developed, but this development brought us so many collateral effects!!! Look at our society, aren't we animales salvajes??Without any valors?Without any credo?Without respect for each other?I would prefer to be a dog or a cat...than an human being..

    Hasta pronto!!!

    ps: Como te llamas?

  • Well, I'm not at all pure. I am corrupted by all that and more. But I like what is good about life. And I search for it. And it makes me happy to know there is such stuff. But, as I said, I'm not pure at all...

  • @yolyBuru i am from mexico but I have Turkish ancestry

my last name is TOQUA from my grandfather Turkish

  • @yolyBuru PS That's the sad state of this world. sigh~

  • There's a good article on the relations between Turkish and Greek music in the August 2008 Le Monde Diplomatique (in English). Go to mondediplo, dot, com . The first page is the one you want and click on rebetiko near the bottom.
