  • so it's a ducati monster vs a buell lightning? is the ducati air cooled?

  • @dougjwhalen

no its 'water' cooled, i have the same bike. The Ducati is in the left lane.

  • @therealmckoy5150 I think a buell 1125r or cr would have been a better match :-D would LOVE to see that match up :-D

  • Can't really say Ducati's are faster than buell's judging on this clip ! it says 10.7 on the ducati but the buell's time wasn't mentioned ? did anyone really see who crossed the finish line first ? Did anyone take into concideration, he had to ease of the throttle about 3x to get his front wheel down from 1st-3rd gear.

  • @QuietStormSiR part of the engineering in the design of the motorcycle is to plant all power to the rear wheel while keeping the front tire on the ground. The Ducati S4R does just that.

  • you know i realy dont know why people hate buell so much its funny cause i beat the crap out of ducatis all the time on my xb9 that guy on the buell did not even leen down

what a noob hahaha my buell will run 155 in 10 sec i olny about 135 though helps to be light :)

  • A DUC will kick a Harley or a Buells lame ass any day at any time, no matter who the rider is. Face it HD Guy, your choice of machinery is antiquated, therefore, it SUCKS!

I ride a 135HP 2008 Ducati S4RS weighing in a 380lbs. You're silly Buell can't even follow close enough for you too feel my rock chips as they spank your surprised face.

  • Are you talking to me?

  • hi is right rocky!!! my 944 monster kicks any buell, triumph, zds, green ones, oranges, acashi's,chocihiro's toys.... haha

  • @Tigersnkoi

    I dont think so

  • I'm assuming you wrote this dick-stroking work of 'art' before Buell came out with the 146HP 1125R. Let's see you race your duc against that..

  • why n ot race the ducati 1198 against the buell 1125r? i bet the duc would win :D

  • That's what I'm talking about. That would be a more appropriate comparison. DOHC vs DOHC. Of course DOHC is going to beat pushrod technology, unless the pushrod motor is sporting a lot more displacement. The purpose of racing is to determine the better racer, not the faster machine; in order to do this, you have to have comparable machines, preferably identical. It's a no-brainer that a Duc will beat a moped, so comparing machines is pointless. A better racer can win with an inferior machine.

  • @aivilik finally someone that knows wat wetalking about!! thanks bro to theach lesson to those ignorants...

  • @leakim90 the 1198 will desimate anything... even busa's without fail

  • @aivilik hmmm buells top model vs a still entry level ducati... not knocking buells but their not on the same level as ducs the old 998 or 999s will take it all day against the 1125r, and dont even bother showing up at a road course youll get PWNED!

  • @85raminator Sure, Buell;s top model, but remember, they were a relatively new company that was working it's way up to high performance bikes and Ducati has been around for a very long time & had already gone through many rites of passage that Buell still had to go through. So how long was Buell around? Did Ducati have a comparable bike after it had only been around for the same number of years? Try to compare apples to apples.

  • @aivilik The only thing that kept Buell from becoming a super bike is the antique engine he used. I've spanked two Buells ridden by kids half my age on the twistys, and I did it with 57 hp on a 100,000 mile BMW GS. If you want to ride a bike that handles ride a GS, they'd catch me up in the straights but when we hit the corners they disappeared in my mirrors. Too bad for them the road had more curves then straights.

  • @505197 Eric Buell has had always tried to get harley to make a liquid cooled race engine. You 'spanked' 2 buells in the twisties cuz your a better rider- its not the machine. A BMW GS doesnt hold a flame to the superior cornering of a Buell. period. Ever seen a GS in a professional racing series smoking anything on a circuit track? nope.

  • @aivilik hmmm buells top model vs a still entry level ducati... not knocking buells but their not on the same level as ducs the old 998 or 999s will take it all day against the 1125r, and dont even bother showing up at a road course youll get PWNED!

  • @85raminator

That doesnt make it a better bike, lets go cross country on 1125 and you ancient ass duc, you will need a valve adjustment before you get out of state, pnot to mention rider choice. . . i have smoked clowns ridin 1100gixr's onmy 110hp sporty, and you cant tell me that my bike is faster than that. . . .

  • @Tigersnkoi Buell 1125? I ride a 08 S2R 1000 , but the Buell 1125 was a whole other bike to ride

  • @Tigersnkoi buell won the AMA sportbike championship... pretty sure that means they beat a Ducati or 6

  • @Tigersnkoi My mind just got raped by your grammar.

  • @Tigersnkoi

It does not matter our machinery is anticuated. We Buellers love it the way it is. BTW, we do not care about your bike, your weight, your bike's weight or whatever you do in your life. Enjoy your 135ish hp. Enjoy valve adjustments and belt replacements too. Benn there... done that... sold it. Kept my trusty - thrusty Buell.

BTW, your bike is nice, your attitude sucks. Keep your bike.

  • ya I dunno, prolly did, can't tell very clearly from the vid, wouldn't suprise me though. Buell isn't meant to drag naturally :). they are just meant to ride and enjoy the uniqueness for life.

  • the Buell is the clear winner--it's in the closet lane.

  • nope maggotpuke is right, the Buell is in the right lane from the camera, sounds, headlights, muffler, cheese grater, all classic Buell Lightning, I have one too, you can tell by the look of the closest bike that its a Duc of some sort

  • Ya--after more of a through review, your right. But I think the Buell lost only because of the wheelie. Die Hard Buell Man.

  • @trevharding yeah the bike closest is the ducati....its chain driven, single sided swing arm ect

  • the ducati is in the closest lane :P

  • white bike is the ducati, buell don't have brakes on left side/front. i have a buell.

  • Ducati win!

  • @ 26 seconds, you will see the front brake caliper of the bike in the left lane is that of a Ducati, the Buell is in the far lane

  • @ 42 seconds are at the same line, and Ducati win!

  • ovvio...

  • ducati winnnnn !!!

  • YO HUELO PANTIES, I SMELL PANTIES

  • with yellow sting on them

  • dude thats one hot looking monster with the speed to bak it up. sweet vid

  • They guy in the far lane is doing a wheelie. Is the far lane the Buell?

  • Oh ok, I see that it is now.

  • the far lane is the duc

  • At 2 to 3 sec into the video u can see the bike in the far lane up close. The front wheel design, the perimeter front disk brake design, the under-slung muffler, the short wheelbase, and that rear fender/license plate holder make me think that it is a Buell. There is a picture u can compare it to at buellxb(dot)com(front-slash)blue_BUELL_XB12S_LIGHTNING.jpg

  • You are right(te right lane is the Buell) the left one is a Ducati

  • your wrong too.

  • wrong

  • your retarded if you think the far lane is the ducati. That is the same bike i have (the ducati) its an s4r probably 2004/2005 single sided swing arm, huge radiator, stature, light, passenger foot pegs etc

  • Bueno. Muy Bueno. Gracias.
