manzee i heard this song once on radio Citizen & av spent more than 8 years looking for this song....it moves my spirit but what does it sing about....?
@benjamin29356 He sings about his late father who died while he was away in another community- the late Kabaselleh had been born out of wedlock and returned to his biological father only to find the latter dead. So sad, but you won't believe this is his best composition!
Love this beat! Where can I buy it online? Couldn't download from Amazon because of the region where I live - Autralasia. Any one can drop me a line tambai.mose@yahoo.co.nz
thanks this song reminds me of my Dad who was buried when i was away.. this songs soothes my soul whenever I am depressed. Rest in peace baba JAMES ODUOR OLWAL.. This makes me know that I am not the only one that missed my dad burial..baba koro ionge yawa iwewa kiye malich
nyathinyakach, i thank you 10000 times for this song. it reminds me of rusinga island where i schooled in those year of 1970s. The buggies we used to enjoy then.
Erokamano ahinya nyathinyakatch 4 the upload, i never imagined i cld be able 2 listen 2 this song being 8,000 miles away frm home Eldoret!....in memory of my beloved mom Gladys Murunga.....we miss u dearly and u will always have a special place in our hearts till the day we meet again....Rest In Peace, Ma....
this song touches my heart soo so much...for my uncle john onyango were was buried without me there.he was ratego for real.i miss him dearly. R.I.P UNCLE JOHN ONYANGO WERE.
Thanks again for this Ochieng Kabasselle song. In retrospect, Ochieng Kabasselles voice production is similar to that of Kasongo Wa Kanema. It has taken me this long to make this comparison. What do you think?
Ochieng Kabasselle sings in Dholuo like no other Luo. This is why I love his music more than all Jaluos!!! We used to listen to him, in the same calibre as Mangelepa and Les Kinois. I miss him. He should never have gone to prison. RIP
@Savai333 You are right, those were Kenya's dark days when Kabasselle was taken to prison, those were the undemocratic times when freedom of expression was treason and differences or grudge with evil powerful individuals would haul to detention without trial.
me too...I am in Mombasa....my mama is a luo but my dad a nigerian....but I am more attached to my mother coz my dad left us when I was two yrs old...hence I love the luo rhythm.....Long live Luoland
Thanks for this post. Thanx my friend A. Tawo (those KU days for introducing me to this hit!) I wish I could understand all the postings on this song. Suffice it to say, I love Kabasele, all his hits! Just wish we spent more time learning from one another rather than fighting! Music does it. Thanks Nyathinyakatch!!

Nyathi Nyakatch you have done me in, this is my national Anthem in my most depressed times. My fiance died while I was away, and when I got back he was buried, I stood on that grave and asked myself, what the hell was I doing when it happened? This song soothes me, consoles me and always reminds me, just as Kabaselleh, that he forgives me, for not been there, when I was needed the most, erokamano for uploading it.
