I ride the crf 450r 08 but i love the 250 two stroke burst of power gets my heart pumping more than my 450 but i suppose i am kinda psycho for speed

@Kawasakiforlife7 too slow? fours have more power than the twos. they have top and bottom end power. unlike the twos top end only. but they are wayy more expensive

But my Thoughts is that once you get on one you will soon Find out it's a lot more Fun. Cost more but Worth it.

@Kawasakiforlife7 There ok for when your on a 125 or 85 but 250 really need that Four stroke to get the most out of it. It has Bottom end and top, Two strokes only really have Top. But yer i get what ya mean they can be fun i just prefer the Four stokes now

@goldsupertoilet 250 2 strokes have a little bit of bottom,infact enough bottom as you could need from a 2 stroke.

@PITBIKER98 nah man the 250's have the s.f.f wich is the seperate function forks wich are about a pound and a half lughter i think it would throw off the dimentions of the bigger bike

everybody that say they have like 3 2009 and up bikes are you in debt up to your eyeballs, or do your parents buy them, i dont understand it because most people that would get a 250/450 are around 15-25 im guessing and thats when you are broke and have no job. you could have a job that pays by 22 but then you have to buy a house and pay the loans back from college. and dont tell me they sponsor you, right now im going to be lucky to get a 2008 kx250f

@crf100person Back in 1992, 1993 timeframe I raced a 1992 WR250 Yamaha for cross country racing. I raced a 1993 YZ250 for motocross. My income was around 20 per hour broken down for me and my wife combined..Had a house and 1 new car..I am just making a point that the price of these new 4 strokes and up keep of them is killing racing at the local level....Soon it will be only rich people racing at the local level.

@crf100person Also would like to add a bit more.When I started racing in 1992, an old pickup truck for a bike hauler was the common..Now days it is huge toy haulers and huge RV'S so little Johnny can race....It is no longer for the poor boy...These new 4 strokes are killing racing..They might be better in some words, but are way too expensive to buy and operate....It is becoming a rich boys hobby just like nascar and drag racing.Only the rich will be able to do it, soon..

@avionicswirenut no because the poor will still be able to do it. all you need is one bike i got a 07 crf250r. and i kill ppl at the races that are on a brand new 2010 crf450 or crf250 there isnt much of a difference in the bikes really its more the rider then the bike. but then my 250 blew up. now i know how much it costs to fix the dang thing. im gunna go get a yz 250 2 stroke alot cheaper. and you can race it in the 250 class. smoking 250 f's

@benaferhc5 I agree, it does come down to the rider, but it still takes way more money now days to race..Good luck on your racing...I can no longer race due to injuries from a car wreck..

@avionicswirenut oh well im sorry to hear that. and thank you and i hope to do better even though the season is now over for me because i live in indiana. but yes i do agreee racing is alot more expensive. i mean we used to juss have truck and trailer but now we got motor home and trailer. but the motor home was for camping. thn we started racing alot more so started taking it.

@PITBIKER98 i do agree i can do the same thing but i mean it is more the rider then the bike. i beat people in the open class on 450's and i race a 250f. its more the rider then the bike. im going to get a yz 250 2 stroke because it is cheaper to rebuild. you can rebuild the whole negine in a 250 2 stroke for the cost of how much it costs to rebuild the top end on a 4 stroke.

@benaferhc5 yeah im the better rider then the 2 strokes guys. i know there 250 2 strokes are faster but im the better rider so i can beat them. but im not the best in my class sometimes 250fs smoke me. i keep up with my buddy with his kx450 in practice. i know its the rider as far as rebuilds go's... my dad pays for that suff he has two goood jobs

@PITBIKER98 yeah im only 16 and my dad pays for the rebuilds he got 2 good jobs too but. it still aint that cheap ha. its like we juss rebuilt the botttom end and it was 400. like thts rediculas whn u think of a 250 2 stroke only costs like 300 for the whole engine.

@PITBIKER98 yeah for all new transmission bearings new crank all new gasket kid etc. well not rlly 400 more like 300. but i rebuild my own bikes my dad is a machanic her works on cars and he tought me how to do everything with the dirtbikes so i can do anything on the bike now like i can rebuild it all on my own. so i dont have to pay someone else to do it. tht and he has all the tools i need sence he has his own shop. im lucky tht way.
