yes, almost all paintball guns have a velocity adjuster that lets you turn up your gun to these speeds, while this is fine for playing with friends, most feilds usally only allow 300fps as a max velocity

no, paintballs can not shoot as accuratly as airsoft guns. Mainly because of imperfections in the markers, they have seams so they don't fly perfectly strait.

But to go to a 300 feet distance with a Airsoft you muts have a really heavy modded gun that cost you like lets say 800-1000$.

And lets face it,where can people found a more then 300 feet large terrain without any obstacles?.

I play on a very large terrain and its covered with trees and bunkers,you see cleary at max a good 80-90 feet straitgh...

Not really, I have a upgraded gun that has only cost me $170 so far, and it can shoot about 250 feet.

I know it seems like a one in a million chance that you'd NEED 300 foot accuracy, but at my field there are a lot of gaps between the trees that lead to where teams like to camp.

@evmister94 its not fine. masks are made to withstand up to 300 fps, if you shoot over the mask could break and someone could lose their vision or hears. and in a really bad freak accident, one could die if a paintball some directly hit inside their mouth on the back of their throat

in paintballing the balls move at 200-300fps compaired to the wide variety of airsoft 100-400+fps. You may think air-soft hurt worse but take in consideration of weight, paintballs (weigh a lot more) hurt and travel farther and are much more accurate. Some paintball guns have a hopper that is of to the side so you can see down the barrel (sites). any questions?

No doubt paintball hurts more than airsoft, haha. I played a match of paintball a while ago and... well... airsoft just doesn't hurt anymore. But I don't play either of these games because they hurt or not, I only play airsoft because it's cheaper. That and you can't really snipe in paintball.

I'll probably end up getting a Tippmann A5 soon enough and modding it to look like a UMP.45.

@MrSniper16 Well cheaper...a good Paintball marker cost roughly 300$ out the box a Airsoft good Airsoft marker where the BB goes farter then 10 feet cost 400-600$...

Only the Airsoft BB's are cheaper like 15$ for 3000.

Comparativaly with the Paintballs where it cost 50$ for 2000,but you use less PB's to hit a target and be sure of it then Airsoft where if the guy isn't Fairplay you can never know for sure you hit him if your at a range superior to 20 feet.

Both have there good and bad sides.

If used at the wrong FPS a Airsoft BB can penetrate your skin and dig a hole.

Most of the Airsoft guns are in a 380-440 fps rang,if you go above it even for a 20 fps you can badly hurt someone even at long distance.

For a Paintball to dig a hole in the skin you must be above 350fps and at nearly point blank distance on bare skin.

But the risks of infections are higher with a Paintball thougt:gangrena etc...

its pretty much the same in the US too, they now use whats called "simunitions" its like a paintball but only, they put it in the actual rounds for the type of the gun you are shooting.

when you fire simuntion is from a real gun... simuntion is a 9mm round, but you have to switch out the barrel of the weapon for them to fit, I.E. an m-4 you remove the upper reciever and replace it with a 9mm barrel, beyond that you have a platic magazine that fits 9mm rounds... i have a bunch of pics on my myspace....

they've made a tiberius version, i have no idea if its better or worse or if there is a "Q" version (i think there is) but i if was going to get one i would buy the original AGD. the main difference with the new tiberius is where the hopper is, its in the same place you would find on a regular pistol.
