I played tonight and was aiming for BitDW in order to finish the game with 1 star but I only did CCM 5-6 times, WF 2-3 times, BoB 2-3 times, BRoD of the courtyard and a thousand times BRoD of the Castle. I did some nice warping and high speed running too, but no BitDW.

do a LJ, then move backwards while holding z and keep pressing a to jump u will LJ backwards

Hi. I try doing this (Mupen64, rerecording), and all I end up doing every time is going through the stairs, towards Bob-omb Battlefield. I use 40% speed and seem to use the same angle as you. The only difference between this video is you go against the wall at the end, while i don't. Help please?

Try frame advance to control your movements better. Make savestates every now and then so if you screw up, you can try again.

---Wait, I just realised what you're saying. >_>

You've BLJ'ed too much... before you hit the max speed, try to press right to slide out of the wall, since too much speed means you just warp through the wall and lose all the speed. From there, frame advance or 20-30% to control the BLJ sliding.

That room isn't black.

Why is it called Black Room of Death then?

It's more referring to the fact that its one of the places where you can go behind an important door. At least IMO.

Black Rooms of Death were places that people couln't get out of, because if you walked back through the door, you would just appear in a Black Room of Death on the corresponding wrong side of the other door.

You need a certain angle, that makes you kinda BLJ into it. It's hard to explain, but if you BLJ at a bad angle, then you just go through the wall. Use my angle for references, and the camera angle you get when you get into the pillar helps sort of.

That's why I re-used the same jump (used savestates on Project64) for each BLJ.

Ah, I have a N64, just don't record off TV.

That's easier to controll, and I don't have speakers on my laptop, so I'm recording sound from my Microphone.

And that's harder then it looks like:

I hear 10 times harder then the most people, so the sounds are not loud.

It's impossible to have no sounds, while everyone uses sounds of TV's, Piono's, Guitars, Bass'es, etc.

It's easy once you know the reverse physics of BLJ'ing. Though the hard part of this BLJ is getting yourself to stop at the stairs un-TAS'ed for the upstair rooms, or even sliding into the Courtyard BRoD and the BoB/JRB rooms.
