i really want to get a DX Chogokin, but then i have a question to ask, since imma be getting the limited one that is going to come out April 2012, This is a DX Chogokin, so this figure should have Diecast content in it rite? how many percentage of diecast metal present in this figure? thx :)
Hands down, Yamato made the best Macross toys ever. Bandai really learns a thing or two from their products, while Yamato made the crappy ones ( the Kanzen Henkei toys suffered from fragility and poor designs) back in the day, they sure have nailed the concept and line-art
From my experience as a Macross collector, Yamato uses better-quality plastic on their Valkyrie figures. I own a Bandai VF-25S Armored Messiah, and the plastic they use is too glossy, not to mention that the factory-added decals don't stick well.
How come Michael's and Luca's come with the Super parts? and not our very muched loved "princess" ahem Alto. Shame tho i always thought that Alto's messiah looked best with them (always loved the red white pain scheme)
Also forgot to mention that this figure is wayyy better than 1/100 VF100's VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie Alto Custom from Tamashii because for that version you have to literally rip him apart just to get to jet mode/gerwalk mode. But its fun to play with and the articulation is pretty good...and not very tight =/. Great review!!!
I thought Tamashii's attempt at the 1/100s MF Valkyries were a MP version of the DX Chogokins? Currently it looks like I may be forced into getting that scale, because its getting harder to find the DXs for Alto and Ozma... Thinking about getting Mikail's, Micheal's, whatever way his name goes(just I don't like the super packs.)
Also thanks for showing the transformation because that has been a part of the Macross F mechas that i've been wondering about for a while since they never really give a clear transformation in the series.
