The key is the left foot as he has a pole attached to his leg. If you notice how foot is always static vs. the other and when he walks afterwards, hes got these little baby steps that dont exactly bend too much of his knee

It obviously has something to do with his left foot. Notice that his left foot is in the same spot for the entire video like he had to set it up before the video.

I've been a professional magician for 17 yrs now, I do this trick, and I don't use a bench. You think you're smart, but when I was 18, I actually was performing in Vegas.
