Okay, so the dude gets blown into beef gravy in the final boss fight and then instead of Interring him in a Dreadnaught they hard-wire him into a suit of Terminator Armour so he can serve as Chapter Master until he rots to death from the crappy life-support.
Okay, so does this mean that the Blood Ravens are officially OUT of spare Dreadnought armours or does this mean that Angelos just created a loophole where the (Mostly) dead can hold on to their rank...
@Grizabeebles Look at the chapter master of the ultramarines. He's entirely machine except for parts of his head. Dreadnought honors is for those who are SO FUCKING IMPOSSIBLY CRIPPLED that they would not be able to consciously move any other way besides being in the incredibly intricate tomb of a dreadnought. They are crippled mentally and physically, while Gabriel still is 100% mentally. Dreadnoughts have to hibernate, etc, and (for the most part) cannot command actively due to their rest.
@Musikkingofthecookie ya but i think in thule's case the nid's poison just had affected his mind too profoundly. not trying to say dreadnoughts can't command, just trying to say that in Thule's case it would be very difficult for him to
@StOnion Yeah, not to speak of the fact that after a time their thoughts get clouded. I think the only reason Bjorn is still so freakin awesome is that he is a lost primarch...
Yes, most people don't know it, but Bjorn is not a dreadnaught, it is just his personal armor!
@Grizabeebles Oh, and Thule was destroyed so badly by the Nid's poison that he would not have been able to be spared by cybernetics. It's tomb or death for him, and someone as loyal as Thule would like nothing else besides serving the emperor in his new body. I'm sure if they were able to preserve Thule's ability to command they would have but sometimes the body is just too torn up.
@GearShotgun The longest, best and only one "real" ending. Somehow i can't imagine next DoW going other way, with plot not including Blood Ravens. If they do so, I'm gonna buy this game only to perform "exterminatus" on it.
@Cheffs HA I KNEW IT! In one of the White Dwarf issues it refers to Gab as a chapter master! He's my favorite space marine character, so, if you excuse me I have a moon to jump over.
Gabriel needs his own miniature

...I bet Thule would have loved that.

@StOnion Well, they CAN, Bjorn the Fell-handed, the oldest Space Marine in existance, defended the Fang from Magnus the Red and the Thousand Sons.

@bialywilk after all this shit they went through this is the ending they deserve, then again no one ever became a space marine for the health plan.

Gabriel finally got his "happy" ending. I'm happy for his him.
