The Lazer ZX-5 in this video is too weak. The new SP or FS version will whip the D4's butt no problem with the help of a Mamba Max "PRO" setup and a good lipo. Probably lipos weren't even main stream back in 2007..well even now a lot of Japanese still uses NIMH to power their buggies. Not that it's anything wrong with it, just too slow especially when you're used to lipos.

thats right b44501xracer. I must be thinking of another kit, I've worked and owned so many. B44 rocks too. but I sold mine for a d4. I like both the same. I wish Califonia would do indoors!

First off, that doesn't look like much of a track to be comparing cars on. Second, the Kyosho shouldn't even be compared against the 501X and the D4. If you're looking for badass car, wait for the new D4 Worlds to come out at the end of February. They addressed the few complaints that were out there and are lowering the price to be equal to the Associated B44.
really nice video...driving was good too but the track was pretty smooth too...nice jumps...wanna get a off road buggy...to enter competitive racing...what do u think about the Lazer...could i buy a kit...or does it only come in ready to run sets?
