A lot of abortion doctors see the baby as a parasite in the mother's body and abortion is removing the parasite from her body. The reason why they do not want the baby to live is that they would have to issue a birth certificate for the child and if it dies, a death certificate as well.

I just got done supporting Ohio HB 78, which requires viability testing after 20 weeks and over and if the unborn child, is viable then there can't be an abortion except for life of the mother or a potential major permanent bodily impairment to the mother.

As for the beating heart - if a person is dependant on life support for breathing, or when a person's lungs collapse, or when a newborn can't breathe, etc etc. Generally if a person is no longer breathing they check your PULSE. Because a heartbeat signals life.

We try to pass legislation that gets the Unplanned Pregnancy rate down, again I've taken time in my busy schedule to type out what the Prevention First Act does. @crazyability It also has pushed for insurance companies being required to cover contraceptives without co pays and as long as the Affordable Care Act is implemented and we keep up on HHS to mandate that contraceptives are covered, then this is something that will be huge in reducing unplanned pregnancies as countries lower unplanned pregnancy rate because of this. And last but not least making sure that schools provide Comprehensive Sex Ed so that teens can learn how they get pregnant.

@crazyability If I Could Have gotten pregnant at 12 years old, first of all, I don't think a kid should be raising a kid? Do you? 2nd of all, adoption is not all it's cracked up to be. I know people that have post adoption stress syndrome to the point where they have to imagine their child is dead and grieve and regret it for the rest of their life. It would not have been easier. Do you know of any post adoption groups because the ones I know of are Pro-Choice groups?

We try to pass legislation that gets the Unplanned Pregnancy rate down, again I've taken time in my busy schedule to type out what the Prevention First Act does. @crazyability It also has pushed for insurance companies being required to cover contraceptives without co pays and as long as the Affordable Care Act is implemented and we keep up on HHS to mandate that contraceptives are covered, then this is something that will be huge in reducing unplanned pregnancies as countries lower unplanned pregnancy rate because of this. And last but not least making sure that schools provide Comprehensive Sex Ed so that teens can learn how they get pregnant.

@crazyability In my State, Ohio, the Prevention first act has been introduced for 5 Genderal Assemblies now and thanks to Ohio Right To Life and the other county chapters, the legislation never gets past the 1st-Sponsor Hearing. Even though it would help reduce unplanned pregnancies. In the meantime the
"Pro-Life" State Budget actually cuts some money of of wic and other programs that help Born Children not die from hunger, disease and poverty, because who cares about born infants.

You do realize that the video you posted does not even take place in an abortion clinic? The woman was not having an abortion to kill her baby but to save her own life. If I HAD the option of adoption, I'd have taken it- so would many other women/teens out there, but social stigma, education/job loss(in this assfucked economy?!) even the risk of homelessness or battery all get in the way at times. It happens a LOT in religious types, believe me. Many pregnant teens end up homeless and living off welfare b/c of their families or friends and the refusal to help/support their decisions- many of them end up struggling single mothers who cannot balance education, work, and childcare.. they lose a LOT-c

Well if it's merely a SHELL of a human, why do you care at all? Why not make it an absolute right, any reason or no reason at all, right up to term? If it's not a human, and nothing is wrong with abortion at all, why restrict it at all?

@randommagnum It is b/c I don't approve of waste of resources- a woman who doesn't need an abortion insults those who do and who are judged, attacked, suffered for it. I look on it the same way I do someone wanting pot just 'cuz' and claiming it is fo a medicinal reason- no, it isn't, you just WANT it and there are other people with serious anxiety/depression/nervous issues who ACTUALLY need it that you ruin it for. Does that make sense? Lol attempts at online psychology fail miserably. -c

-c I don't judge life until it puts someone else's life in danger, or promises unnecessary suffering or risks. Sorry, but math is my friend, so is biology, and law. Lol of course you'd get mad when the logic of your 'life is all that matters even if someone suffers' shit- b/c you realize how you look at women compared to a pretend-image of what you WANT a fetus to be.
