  • Ya a lil bit

  • Not bad, but put more emotion into it. It's very boring at the times that you are just holding out whole notes during the melody. Put some vibrato or maybe some dynamics.

  • Fallout!

  • Give it some feeling man! I heard the vibrato coming out ! keep going with the vibrato. Nice jazz tone, it will keep getting better the more you listen to jazz Way to go champ, lol =)

  • You are amazing brother keep up the good work!

  • force more air out. sometimes it sounds like your holding back

  • uh i really want a saxaphone becasue there music is so... beautiful!

  • @heathr93 Thats what she said ...

  • i could fall asleep to dis :D

  • saxOphone :)

  • hey sum addvice from a semi pro try throwin sum of ur own lil lick in there like when u hold the note go up the scale or harmonize it with another note

  • Vibrato is a little too 'spacial' for my liking...

I think it sounds nicer when a note is held...then vibrato kicks in as a subtle plus.

  • Great can you send me music for this class THANKS LOU

  • well, call me a pain in the ass but, its all good in that lower octave but when it gets higher, you need to work on your ambrasure... (sorry about the spelling, im not sure how to spell it hehe) (pronounced om-bra-sure/tiour) ie the tightness of your mouth and how much pressure you apply to your lips to make the reed closer or further away from the mouthpiece... Gee my grammar isn't good today :)

  • the pressure should come from the corners of the mouth, not the lips. soooo....yea

  • hey can you send me the sheet music for that song

  • easy song but sounds good

  • Im in class with this guy and he sounds so good i do a lot of duets with him

  • Good sound but let the air flow, you're tensing up and it restricts the vibrato. and dont try to push out that nice sound.

  • love the dark sound but try to open your tone

  • be careful that once you get into the octaves, to bite down a bit harder... you were sounding a bit flat once you got to middle D, thats my only advice, but good sound...

  • Yup, your tone in the lower register is beautifull, warm an "to die for!!" but you get a bit lost and meander once you hit the octave key.

  • dont bend your notes so much, sounds horrible. otherwise it's good

  • It's called Vibrato...

  • Indeed. See my sax player work it on "Exception to the Gruel" at my youtube page.

  • work on holding your breath

  • for how long have you been playing sax?

  • for about 4 yrs.... i had a really bad teacher in the first year though so i think my learning was hindered a bit.... i tried my best though

  • @Jerdthenerd was it hard to learn the sax in the beginning? im considerig the tenor as well n i have 0 music experience

  • You're doing a great job there mate! Keep it going!

  • good sound you need to work on your vibrato though and put more air in the horn

  • Yea... i went to a solo ensemble contest and got the same comments so i am working on it

  • good job, im tryin to learn this song on my sax.

  • Thanks man, i just love jazz because there's really no wrong notes just bad choices, thats the thing with this song is that i had to memorize the key changes before i performed it

  • and you should learn english

  • scary......scary
