1. Peace in Europe was achieved with the 1949 set-up of NATO…not the EU.

2. MEP Corbett, along with the other 785 MEP freeloaders has no legislative power in the EU Parliament; it's just a talking shop. Bizarrely, the power is with the Unelected, unaccountable commission.

3. Higher trading figures with the EU; Member states are coerced into trading within the EU, with heavy fines and penalties.

Peace? The only reason Europe has had peace is the fact that the US, has had troops and Nuclear missiles on the continent since the end of the Second World War! So how the hell is it responsible for peace (plus what about the balkans) so there hasnt been peace in europe anyway.

1) Peace in Europe was NOT secured by the EU. It was secured by NATO.

2) The reason more goes to Europe is because of the Rotterdam effect i.e. our trade goes to Europe first, THEN onto other countries

3) Tony Blair himself said if Britain was not a member of the EU it could get a free trade deal instead.

4) You don't have to be a member of the EU to influence it.

The problem with the EU parliament is that Europeans don't know what is being made in their name.

The EU assembly should have a dedicated TV channel to broadcast its' debates otherwise European citizens or subjects must presume that is a place where vast corruption takes place.
