I am a choir geek, and an alto, and I love that the altos actually got, oh I don't know, MELODY for once. :) That, plus the way you managed to turn female singing into tenor and bass parts without it sounding wierd. All in all, I must say that this is....
This is absolutely fantastic! I'm an alto, and altos don't often get the melody line, but I'm pleased to see you've been generous in this arrangement. :)
@eldritchcoyote Another askeed the same question, and yes, I am going to be doing another medley hopefully catching the rest of the major Season 1 songs (Cupcakes, At The Gala, Evil Enchantress, Fluttershy's Lullaby, etc.)
This is pretty damned cool. I'm not sure if it's correct to call it a "choral" medley, because (if I'm correct), it seems like more of a vocal duet with a piano accompaniment, but DAMN this would be neat to learn and sing.
@foxboy231 There are four distinct parts meant to be sung by an ensemble (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass), not just by two people ^^ It would be quite impossible to have all the harmonies with just a duet. Definition aside, thank you so much for the praise! *bows*
Nice! but I think Winter Wrap Up could've been better if the bass clef sang "winteerrrr, winteerrr" as the treble sang "wrap up, wrap uuuup!" like it is in the song. and maybe you could switch it around after that. Nice work
@XepherBeatM Well, a few of the parts have too much going on at the same time at too high of a volume. A lot of the harmonies would have sounded better if they were either quieter or in a different instrument. It blared so loud that it became slightly muddled and unrecognizeable. This was most noticable in Art of the Dress and Winter Wrap Up.
@originalph00tbag By the time I got to the part where AJ would begin singing in Winter Wrap Up, I realized the song had already gone on for almost two minutes. I figured I should cut it off before the song got too long.
@Chinch335 I'll be making another medley of MLP soon enough, including the songs that I didn't here, including "Cupcakes," "At The Gala," and "You Gotta Share" among others.
@KRU63R Sorry I did not reply sooner. You may tag it as Adam Stirzel as the arranger, but Daniel Ingram and William Kevin Anderson are the original composers.
As someone who did several years of choir and doesn't really do music anymore, this got me to try singing my part. Makes me wanna actually learn the part and sing it correctly and in key
Okay, I have 7 things to say about this video. #1: It's awesome, #2: It's awesome, #3: It's awesome, #4: I feel like I'm forgetting something, ohright~ it's awesome, #5: Have I mentioned its awesomeness, #6: ..........It's awesomely epic, #7: The arrangement aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww~lso fits the tone of the original arrangements
@yakkofan725 Not to mention #8: It all blends together so nicely. #9: If I weren't a Brony, and if I were in chorus, I would so try to convince my director to let us do this, and #10? It's awesome
Thanks about this! You don't mind if I use this score for a little ensemble, do you? I'll be sure to credit you :)

What I am surprised at is the fact that 'The art of the dress' is shortened and missing two parts.

Love the ending. As a former choral Alto, I love that you actually gave the altos a decent part.

I wish my show choir was cool enough to do this medley for our spring concert finale...

Thats some pretty serious transcription right there.

I'd like to hear it either with a choir or less of the "choir" part in the recording. Or else the whole thing done on piano.

Awesome, going to learn this now :) (not all harmonies at once of course)

Though I think it might be improved if you moved Giggle at the Ghostly to the front so you can begin with the "Tell me they're not...They are" part.
