Stevie is an unquestionable genius. Very few are as prolific and profound. He has changed commercial music in a way that is larger than I think we currently understand. His influence will be timeless and will far exceed the influences of the Beatles, Elvis, and Rolling Stones. His music crosses genres, nations, race... and borders of all kinds. And if you read a little on Martin Luther King day, you may realize he even contributed to that. He changed the planet through his music forever.

On June 29, 2009 I gained Marli Haggins & lost Marvin Haggins. A few days after delivering Marli into this world & relinquishing Marvin to the Florida Prison system the Michael Jackson memorial was aired & when Stevie sang this song I went nuts. There've been a lot of killings goN on here N Tampa, FL lately. As well as severe prison sentences BN passed down. I woke up this morning w/ this song on my heart, with all the victims of death & incauseration in mind. I'm missing Marvin hecticlly today.
