  • VERY NICE THIS SONG BY FOSTER AND ALAN AT MY UNCLES FUNERAL IN AUSTRALIA IT WAS ALSO ONE OF MY MOTHERS FAVORITES GOOD JOB ALAN BABY YOU PLAY IT SO WELL.

  • whooh1 1 this really lifts this otherwise maudlin song . A little little bit of Scott Joplin but no Irish content .

  • @queenievenus Glad you liked it.

  • You did a wonderful interpretation of this song. I am not familiar with your work, but I will try to listen to more of you. Personally I prefer this sung as a ballad, however I think as an instrumental, this rendition may be the best I have heard.

  • @oside66 Thank you.

  • @oside66 ...Without a doubt, it's the best I've ever heard!....Oh, to be able to play like Allendale !!

  • I used to play "maggie", but after hearing your version, I'm ashamed to even try it!..You're GREAT, FANTASTIC and all those other complimentary words. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • @WC86EVA You're welcome

  • This is a terrific version of the "When you and I Were Young Maggie Blues". It's a 1921 version of the original Maggie song, played as a duet, to jazz it up. QRS has a piano roll with lyrics for both songs to be sung together. This is just great. I didn't thgink it could be played on a piano by one person. Keep them coming, Al

  • Thanks

  • Love the way you breath new life in this old standard! Good Job Al! Jax
