  • check there no grease on the bendix thats where the cog twists in and out tot engage. there should be no grease or oil on the shaft as it makes it stick and then not engage. hop this helps. great bike I have a 87 cbr 1000f here in Australia. when we had the fires I had to leave my house and had to leave here in the garage. I was more concerned getting back to make sure the bike was ok than the house, they are gettin on to be colectors items soon. good luck

  • Hello.

At first I take off an engine, and tackling is not possible if I do not break a crankcase.

Because it was very difficult, you had better talk with the store of Honda.

  • I have suffered from the same symptom, too. The cause is a cell motor and sliding of the dampers

  • thanks. I've placed a new damper on the alternator shaft, but now it just spins. No traction at all.
