i thought this show was to find the total package, both kendra and pia had the whole package but the final 2 woman was haley and lauren what a joke. this is whats hurting the show is the unlimited voting but the judges has no say. thats why the voice will become more popular bcuz the judges protect the interest and what a "singing" competition should be about.

too bad there were just so many good singers & different styles this season. I mean it made it better to watch, but harder for the contestants. I wish some would've stayed around longer than others, & she's one of them.
American Idol should have a second show of the other 12 who got cut on the top 24 night ... I think it would be better. Kendra Chantelle is a good example of why.

If you don't believe me, why did they choose the people they picked? Naima, Ashthon, and Stefano looked better on high definition TV than Lauren, Kendra, Jovany, and Robbie.
High definition television was not Kendra's friend. On HDTV, you could see the wrinkles on her forehead. It wouldn't surprise me if this was the reason why she wasn't chosen.

The reason they did not choose Kendra is not a black or white issue. Her problem is that she is so good that her talent severely overshadowed all the other contestants. Otherwise this was a taste of performances to follow. The other contestants are trying to achieve the perfection that this girl has. I have not heard one performance by far that completes my musical appetite or moves me like Kendra’s performances. This show is not based on the truth. Check out the xfactor holland 2011.
Amazing. Few people can sing with such power and sultry smoothness in the voice like that. I always go for the voice that moves me the most, not the "American Idol," whatever that's supposed to mean. She was one of a handful that I was really impressed with, and then she's gone so early. I guess she didn't fit the teenybopper mode or something. Probably too much of a pro to go far in this popularity contest.

What I liked about Kendra is she made those songs into her style of singing. Didn't over do it and she didn't have to because her voice was natural talent. She was my favorite but I am sure this wont be the last time we hear from her :).
I don't know about you, but I personally think Kendra sang this better than Christina. Don't get me wrong I love Christina but I feel like Kendra really really pulled it off. And I respect that she didn't lower the key. She's so good.

I'm so irritated that she didn't make it. Ever since Hollywood weak, when I heard her, I was hooked. Kendra, you would have been the one to beat, the only one in the competition that would have been competition would have been Pia. America doesn't know true talent.

This is the reason that I no longer tune into American Idol. It is a travesty that the best singer out of these girls by far is no longer on the show. She's too white and not latino or black enough. Shame!!!

Thia sounds like she practiced how to sing, so it doesn't sound natural or interesting. Kendra, at least I think that's her real name, woke me up in a flash as soon as she hit the note on 00:43 and continued from there. I was like, "THIS GIRL CAN BELT OUT WORDS WITH RHYTHM! (i like both of them just fine but Kendra's got more vocal prowess) also pissed she wasn't chosen top be in the top 13 as a wildcard. they shoulda made it a top 14 instead haha. or even a top 16 cuz all the wildcard performances were great.

You know, it's like Idol voters have a problem with women these last couple of years. I think she was eliminated on the good ol' jealousy tip . . . beautiful, poised, ridiculous talent . . . America had to kill her off. But that tone-deaf hip hop chick singing Umbrella like she was in a coma was okay with them. @capson12 I think you got it wrong. They are thinking just about looks, they are thinking about money. Who is going to make us the most money. Because they will all get a cut. Right now the show is bringing in 12 million an episode or something like that. It is serious cash for some of their people, especially the judges. I love the panel this year. Real American Star Singers + Randy. Much better then lesbian talk show hosts.
