  • Hi there I hope you reply!! Is the glow plug in this video good? the reason i ask is because right at the tip does not glow is that a problem. cheers i'm a noob

P.S what heat glow plug would you use on a hyper 7 .28.

    im using medium hot ATM.

  • @AutoRandom The GP in this video is fine mate. It needs to glow from tip to bottom though.

  • @jthornley12 Cheers!!!!!!!!

  • @AutoRandom no worries mate.

  • hey its me again... i was told by my local hobby shop owner to use mediums in winter and medium colds in summer as u got the same engine as mine i was wondering if this is ok ty

  • @minimeez1000 Warmer in winter, cooler in summer mate.

  • hi i was wondering about glow plugs... i have a hpi bullet g3.0 and i use 20% nitro... can i use a medium glow plug all year but richen it out a bit when it gets hotter.... thank u please respond ^_^

    .......bigdave

  • @minimeez1000 You want to be leaning it when it gets hotter, and richening it when it gets colder ;) use medium plugs in warmer weather and hot plugs in winter

  • hey think i got a problem i tryed starting my rc car but when i looked my glowplug jumped up in the air and now non of them will go back in at all what can i do plz help me soooo much

  • @fatman9494 Hi there, am I right in thinking I already replied to this on Facebook?

  • if it keeps cutting out then your nitro mixture has to much oil in

  • can u over charge a glow ingniter and wat will happen if u do

  • @exceedrcgabe You will destroy the battery

  • Oh by the way, it has ezstart

  • Hey m8 my glo plug burnt out and it was brand new, and it ran fine after the first start, and I'm not sure why it did that though.

  • @MegaCophater Check your tuning ;)

  • how do you know which one isnt working?

  • @lourke123 Broken ones won't glow ;)

  • @jthornley12 how do you know if its your battery or not. Mine doesn't glow. I have no idea which one is faulty but I think it's my glow igniter. Can you light a match with a glow igniter? If so, mine cant.

  • @lourke123 You should be able to light the match with the Glow plug. Not with the igniter. the igniter is meant to light the glow plug

  • @jthornley12 ohh ok... Mine doesn't light the glow plug. The wire inside the engine glow plug is not lighting and it is messed up. It is not like yours in the video. The end of the wire is cut and it's sideways. How do I know if its my glow plug or igniter?

  • @lourke123 Well charge the igniter, and then see if it lights the glow plug after it's charged :)

  • @jthornley12 i charged it for about 5 hours. Nothing

  • @lourke123 Will be the glow plug then :)

  • Arnt there differant size glow plugs

  • @matthewdiscovery1 Nops only different heat ones. sizes are all the same

  • @shovel20 It's called cleaning.

  • great advise man just one thing are glow plugs all the same and do they fit both nitro trucks and cars

  • @steamfan2011 They are the same, you just have to make sure you get the right Number.

  • Thanks for such a clear tutorial - good stuff

  • @121fiona No worries, glad it helped :)

  • daaamn you have awesome tattooes in your hand

  • @exploziv Cheers:D Although I haven't got any?

  • why are you speaking as if you are talking to plane?

  • @vLeOv To make it clear and easy to understand :)

  • i have the same glow igniter... i think XD

  • @paulskinner12345 Quite probably you do. these ones are popular.

  • Dont post comments like that mate. They simply get removed. Cheers :)

  • great vid

    just a quick question

how does glow plug keep hot after you take the starter out.

or do u just need the glow plug to start the fuel burning?

    thanks!!!!- Av

  • Well the glow plug is heated while the igniter is in then the glow plug ignites the fuel, once the engine is running the glow plug doesn't need to be hot any more :)

  • actually the glow plug ignites the fuel keeping the glowplug hot to ignite more fuel as it is inserted into the cylinder.

  • Yup thats right. ignore my bad descriptions above :)

  • @jthornley12 actually after you remove the glow plug ignitor the element in the glow plug is kept hot from the heat of combustion inside he engine.

  • @balls2yourface yes thats right
