:/ I had never seen anything by Joss Whedon before this. I just saw people talking about it and thought it sounded like my kind of thing. And subsequently I have introduced it to a bunch of other people who were not, to my knowledge, fans of his either. Word spreads faster on the Internet than you think.
It seems to me like "die hard fans of NPH" and "How I met your mother" shouldn't be slashed together like that... I mean, how I met your mother is so recent, and NPH has done a lot of things, so if you started liking NPH because of how I met your mother that is cool, or whatever, but like... he has been around for longer than that. NPH is great, how I met your mother is a good show, and Nathan Fillion is my favorite male on earth.

It's not like Inception where as soon as it comes it everyone knows about it due to the massive PR it gets. Even then budget isn't the only thing that sets the difference. District 9 was a low budget film. And yet that was mainstream. I don't think you can truly define what the two are, only decide for yourself if something is mainstream or not based on your gut feeling.

I agree, Joss funded this himself, if nothing else, THAT makes it worth paying $6 or whatever it will be when it hits the uk iTunes (PLEASE GOD). The fact that it was purely on the internet, all the crew and actors did it for free, and frankly its just shiney, gives it even more reasons why to buy it. It was amazing.
