  • considering that roxy and crimson are among my top 5 favorite bands, this is just FANTASTIC. i just love john's growling bass sound. it sounds like a lead instrument sometimes

  • Wetton is at his best on "King Crimson - Red"

    along with Fripp and Brufford

    This rocks as well, ROXY.....ROXY!!!!!

  • Wetton rules fo sure

  • A really funny moment in this video is from :54-1:02 when Wetton seems to get bent out of shape because Mackay steps right in front and block him as Wetton tries walk to the front of the stage.

    Just a random funny moment.

Also, Jobson is off the hook at the end. This may be may favorite "live" lineup Roxy ever went to stage with.

Just a beautiful powerhouse of varied technicolour music and muscians.

  • @hailtheblackdragons MacKay repeated that stage move every time he played his flute refrain. I don't think Wetton was doing other than backing him at that point. Otherwise I agree with each of your observations. What talent!

  • where did it all go? where did it all go? ahhhhhh!

  • Thanks for posting this. When was it filmed ? Wetton has certainly played with a hell of a lot of different musicians over the years and is incredibly adaptable and versatile !!!

  • @mokk372 Well, The King Crimson Wetton fronted broke up in late 1974, and he was touring with Roxy in 1975 & part of 1976... so my guess would be 1976-ish. Wetton & Jobson left Roxy to form U.K. (with Bruford & Allan Holdsworth, who had been playing together in Bruford's solo band) in 1977.
