The Government want it to go forward; whereas the Conservatives think they shouldn't be built, and that the funds used to pay for urgent operational requirements. In defence of the costs, they are being built to last 50 years if not more, compared to the invincible class which has been around for some 25, and needs to be replaced.

the nimitz class carrier still is superior. and that looks like it would easily drop some planes in the water.
