Malage De Lugendo is the singer in the original version in 1986: That is correct. But he was in TP OK JAZZ, Franco's group, long time before that year! 1980 or less! 1986 is reference just because This song was his first to sing as Solo singer! Also this live was made to supply the promotion of the album! I think it was a great idea then to make a clip! I love it for ever!
in fact this was a tv footage from "le cafe des artistes" where performances were unplugged,it wasn't due to lack of promo.all the guests were to perfome in such a way because it's warmer and closer than any electric concert and fitted more the concept of the tv show.
That gitar just brings out that thing from very deep down a man's soul. Just how does one conceptualise such melodies and be able to actualise them? True genuis at its best!
This song brings Kinshasa together people around all big Kinshasa. Bowule was a great tube when it was released. This is really the begining of this young musicien. Malage..
Who is singing here? I thought is Carlyto Lasso? Who sing the Original? If not this guy then the man can be real Carlyto. Thanks for posting. I saw another video soon after the death of Franco. Congelese they told me it was the fairwell for Franco.
The singer is - as I wrote - Malage De Lugendo. He is also the singer in the original version. Malage was 'recruited' by Franco in 1986 to replace Carlito.

thanks, trickmpunga for this info. do the singers imply that the sick person was ashamed of the illness he was suffering from?
mouneeray 2 years ago
Its a Eulogy for Bowule, a friend of Massiya's who died. search the related videos and you will find an English translation...a very touching song.
