Silly because no one knows what Jesus looked like. One thing's for sure, he was from Judah and wouldn't have looked anything like the white, long haired European as depicted on this blanket!
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Thats a silly statement! Watch the documentary called 'The True face of Jesus' released by the History channel, it may open your eyes a little and show you how absurd your statement is.
@Flagrum3 My statement is true. Also, the face depicted here is of an old man, maybe 70 years old. Jesus was executed for his crimes at around the age of 35!
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Your statement is definitely false and probably due to you not understanding that the Image on the Shroud is not a drawing, painting or a photograph, it's none of those. It is a pseudo-negative 3D encoded Image, giving you white hair and beard when it should be black or dark etc; As I said check out that video it will explain alot about the image and it ends with a depiction of what the man on the Shroud actually looked like.Or as close as we can get with today's technology.
@Flagrum3 There is no proof Jesus existed so obviously this image isn't proven to be him. The image depicts a European Caucasian, Jesus would not have had this appearence.
Well at least use the right word - I think you mean "You're an idiot"
You are just further proof that religous peolpe have a much lower IQ than atheists.
As for your suggestion that I do more reading, I am possibly the most educated person you know, that's why I have got you in to checkmate with this silly image of a European Jesus.
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Contesting someone's IQ because of a grammatical error made on youtube is quite laughable.I doubt 100% that you are anywhere near the most educated person I know, or even well educated for that matter. You show immense unscientific logic by making such rediculous statements/(assumptions) about the image. It is also quite obvious you do not want to study this subject in detail or have studied it at all, because I know if you had, you would not be making such rediculous claims.
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Why did you remove your last statement? Find an error in it? LOL.Anyways enough bickering.Fact is there is not one historian that would agree with your statement that no proof exists for the historical Jesus, as a matter of fact most scholars now agree there is plenty of evidence to say the Historical Jesus did exist.Moreso then many other individuals in history. As for the image; Please I beg you watch the video I mentioned, you can find many parts here on Youtube.
@Flagrum3 I had to change a "be" to a "to" I think lol. I have watched the video. I do believe the historical Jesus probably did exist. I just don't believe in St. Paul's version of the man, the version that Christianity is founded on. Without a photograph or a live portrait in fine art, no one knows what Jesus would have looked like so the image on the blanket can never be verified.
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Well ofcourse it can't be varified, not until we see him again. But the Shroud is the only image of Christ that can actually be purported to be the actual image of Christ with any degree of certainty. It's funny though as they found a portrait of Jesus, deep in the Vatican catacombs dated I think early 2nd century? That resembles the Jesus of the shroud. It's very interesting as the experts believe the painter may have had 1st or 2nd hand knowledge of his earthly appearance.
@Flagrum3 The oldest known portrait of Jesus, found in Syria dated 235, shows a beardless young man. He is depicted dressed in the style of a young philosopher, with close-cropped hair and wearing a tunic!
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Jesus did not die!..and I believe he will return as he himself promised..that's my faith and belief..There were many depictions of Christ made in the early centuries, most showing him as in the picture you mention, but not all, but you just strenghtened the argument for the Shroud as it is speculated by many scholars and historians that the bearded image we now know as Christ originates from the discovery of the Shroud in Edessa's west gate in 525.
@Flagrum3 How does it strengthen your argument when the earliest known image of Jesus is of a beardless young man with short hair in typical Jewish dress? How does it strengthen your argument when there are no photos, live portraits or written descriptions of Jesus?
Jesus certainly did die. From a Christian point of view, he had to die for him to rise on the third day. Christianity is based on this event as being true. From my point of view, of course he's dead, he was born 2000 years ago!
@LeeMcLoughlin1975 -Your point of view seems to be lacking in understanding. You don't even understand the 'Christian' pt of view, yet your commenting on it."He died but was raised again", not hard to understand. Also if you don't understand my point about the ancient images then maybe you should do a little more reading about the Shroud and ancient art as it pertains to Jesus then come back and we'll have a constructive conversation.Until then I'm ending this conversation.Thanks.
@Flagrum3 You didn't make a mistake in grammer. You used the wrong word - "your" and "you're".
I have seen many Turin shroud documentries and the fact still remains - no one knows what Jesus looked like, if he existed at all! Even if the shroud could be positively dated to AD30, it would make no difference.
@hashmash0 -Wrong! Officially it is still up in the air as the only scientific point against the Shroud was the 1988 C14 dating AND as we all now know it was in error.ALL other peer-reviewed documents and their proofs point to the shroud being exactly what it seems, but scientists will not go as far as saying that it is real.C-14 dating as I said is relatively accurate, unless people take it as the only method.Whenever an object is dated all aspects of the item are looked at not just C14 dating.
@hashmash0 -Sure I can! When it is blatantly obvious that you haven't educated yourself WELL, on the Shroud. The statement was not made in general! You really need to read up on things before you start making comments on the Internet or you'll end up looking like an idiot.Read up on the actual process done with the 1988 c-14 dating, how it was bungled from the beginning.Read the paper I mentioned above by Ray Rogers a world reknowned chemist.Read all scientific Peer-reviewed papers you can.
@hashmash0 =I see your point perfectly yet I still say you are 100% wrong when it comes not only to your C-14 dating methology but also your blood statement!...The Blood on the Shroud has 'prooved' to be real human blood and of the Type AB, not clay or various materials...This information can be found by reading actual scientific 'Peer-reviewed papers', written by no less then three scientists in the study of the blood. Also the C-14 dating done in1988 has now been prooved invalid.RE; R Rogers.
@hashmash0 -I think you need to educate yourself on carbon dating. One; it is not fullproof even with items only several years old.Carbon dating is only relatively accurate up to about 50 thousand years, not millions of years. There have been major c-14 errors when testing fabrics, this is a fact.Plus in the case of the Shroud read the peer-reviewed paper by Raymond Rogers in ThermoChemica-Acta, it prooves the testing done in 1988 was in error and this is confirmed by 2 other labs.
@hashmash0 You make such statements that are totally illogical. Hundreds of scientists have performed experiments on the Shroud only to find that it is legitimately a 1st century relic with "live" blood stains on it that match an exact image of someone crucified. The carbon test was performed by scientists that took cloth placed there by nuns repairing the Shroud after it was in a fire. Why would they do that? The rest of the cloth is proven to have images of pollen from the 1st cen.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
1 Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

@JesusLorloves Oh blow it out your ass. Using scripture to forge an argument is like using the John Wayne movie' The Green Berets ' as a documentary for the Viet Nam War. Mark13: 24-31. Jesus said he'd return before the generation he was talking to was still around. Now, if Jesus was wrong about something as important as that, he's probably wrong about everything including the fact that he even existed. Jesus loves you? LOL!!!. Love him or burn for eternity. Now that's true love. LOL!!!!!!!

@VanGoghsEar1890 If you dislike Christians so much and believe it is all hogwash, why do you watch this video? Do you just want to insult Christian believers and Jesus, the One they believe in. What is wrong with you? Maybe you should examine yourself and find out why you are so full of hate? Would you be so brazen as to insult a Muslem, or would you be too afraid to do so. Do you think Christians are loving and do not care about insults? Think again buddy asshole!

Only holographic machine can produce holographic information, like the gluminous dove u see in ur credit card.
How can hologrg information hidden in a shroud it mould make more sense if it is in other material.
Therefore, it is one of a kind.
And the man in the shroud has a very long nose, that is one of a kind also.
