here is some real advice that will help you well past junior high and high school. DON'T try to be popular. Just find a few good friends that are nice and caring. Even if they're not the popular crowd. There less likely to ditch you when you forget to wear you popular jeans and decided to go to school as your self.

You dont need to do all this at my school, I have a friend who is really popular and she listens to rock, punk, anything that isnt what everyone else listens to, she dresses mainly in black, or really all out vibrant colours, not baby pink or grey. She is a lovely person though and smiles more than anyone I know, I think that being yourself and being nice is really an important key. :)

Being popular in high school is never easy and I should know, I graduated high school almost two years ago. One thing in high school you should always be is BE YOURSELF, that's what helps make more genuine and real down-to-earth friends in school and your high school life should be set from there. Do not try to live up to all the expectations of all the 'popular kids" to become "popular", I automatically realized this during my junior/senior year and I even realized after graduating high school.

I never did care about popularity, nor did I care if the people I hung with were/weren't popular. I was more focused on doing well in school than to think about popularity.
